I recommend Sutter Deli for lunch, great sandwiches, my wife loves their salad, recipe is a secret don’t forget to grab a cookie to go, I’m sure you won’t have room to eat it after the sandwich

What a fantastic restaurant! I love the antique decor, but the food is the real highlight. The sandwiches and salads are delicious, with soft bread and generous portions. And don’t miss their cookies—so sweet and decadent! Give this place a try; you won’t be disappointed!

I was visiting Grand Island and was recommended this place. When I entered, I was slightly confused by the setup due to the cookie sign and deli sign. (I thought I might be entering the wrong business) When I figured it out and approached the counter, the order taker was friendly enough, but seemed irritated by my confusion. I got a Reuben, and it was not bad.
TLDR; Outside signage was confusing, service wasn’t the worst, Reuben was mid.

OMG! If you have never eaten here you HAVE to try it! I’m addicted to little hole in he wall, mom and pop shops of all kinds! This place is super adorable. They make AMAZING cookies and other delicious foods as well and their sandwiches have some super fun names! I don’t get to eat here as often as I would like but I definitely want them to stay open for as many generations as possible!! I’ve only lived in Grand Island for 4 years but this is so far the best family restaurant I’ve been to here so far. I can’t wait to explore and find more!!

Amazing little sandwich shop that is worth a visit or two while in town! I was here visiting family and went back on two separate occasions. The turkey club was 10/10 and the cookies are also amazing. Wife loved the Sutters club and got it both times. Staff was extremely polite and friendly to everyone. Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Service is mainly pick up at the counter when we were there at lunch. Turkey club & portobello sandwiches were very good!

A charming little hidden gem for a nice lunch in Grand Island. Homemade fresh sandwiches that are unique and different for this area but they are wonderfully made with really good breads yet full of complex flavors. The menu is simple and easy to order from and they have your lunch prepared quickly and orderly. Some of the best sandwiches in the city of Grand Island and their home baked cookies are just right if you want a little dessert…we love the soft frosted molasses with their spiciness and sweet vanilla icing. The girls are welcoming and always are friendly. Closing in the early afternoon, make sure you get there before they do so you can enjoy a great little lunch by yourself or even better with family or friends!

This is a hidden gem! The good here is phenomenal everytime… a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads… they also have a cozy home vibe that will keep your chops slobbering to come back. An Arnold Palmer, a train wreck, a Rueben, and the Chinese chicken salad are my go to’s of the menu! And white chocolate macadamia nut cookie or a monster cookie!

Our 2nd lunch here. It is delicious. Thinking about this lunch since waking up in Wyoming. Road trip.
