This was the BEST place we’ve eaten this week and we have booked in twice for next week. The flavours are unreal. The staff are fabulous and we were lucky enough to meet the chef Sanjeev and say thank you. As a Scottish family, Indian food is a HUGE part of our culture and this was great and very much appreciated. Our waiter was called German and he was wonderful! Absolutely faultless. Cannot wait to return. Xx

For the past few years I have travelled to different parts of Mexico. Not once I realized or thought I would find an Indian restaurant. Let alone it was more of a shock to learn that the chef is Indian origin who has cultivated his skills with the spices of Mexico.

Every dish had a taste off blend of spices with memories of home. Whether it was chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, biryani, on and on.

Mango Lassi was thick and rich, with no artificial flavor.

The masala of tandoori chicken is filled with juices that you enjoy with every bite.

Chicken Vindallo reminds you of the coastal aroma of the Goanese cuisine

The gravy of butter chicken is thick and not water down with the aroma of the fusion of spices between Indian and Mexican culture.

A meal is not complete with all spices coming together in a flavorful biryani.

Reading previous reviews, I had to wonder whether it was the same restaurant at the PH resort!….
On our first visit, it was the chef’s night off and the food wasn’t great, hence I wrote a reflective review.
However, I spoke to the chef Sanjeev and he invited us back to try his food again.
I have to say the food was lovely. We had the ‘family meal’, where a selection of food was chosen for us.
Starters were excellent, but very filling 🙂
For mains, we had lamb vindaloo, lamb shank stew (really nice) and butter chicken along with daal makhani, rice and naan.
For dessert, Sanjeev made a gaajar halwa, which we shared.
A complete contrast to our first visit, as the whole family enjoyed the food and experience 🙂
Ofcourse we had excellent service from Yarine 🙂

Staff is extremely unfriendly.. highly not recommended for Indian people who decides to book planet Hollywood because of this Indian restaurant. It was our first day. Whole restaurant is empty. The girl working at the front desk was very rude. Said is that only three server working so can’t let us in. We are with three kids. Sutra was one Indian thing that’s why we chose planet Hollywood. Never coming back!!!!!

If this is what Planet Hollywood calls Indian food, then I guess I’ve been eating gourmet my whole life without knowing it. Whoever thinks this is authentic clearly wouldn’t recognize real Indian cuisine if it was served to them on a silver thali. The curries are as watered down as poolside cocktails, the “spices” taste like someone waved a cumin jar over the pot and called it a day, and the naan could double as a frisbee.

Honestly, anyone’s mom or dad at home could throw together dal and rice that would blow this entire restaurant out of the water. It feels less like Indian food and more like a theme park version of it — bland, lifeless, and utterly forgettable.

If you want a crash course in what not to do with Indian cooking, eat here. Otherwise, do yourself a favor: skip this place and spare your taste buds the insult.

Chef Sanjeev took amazing care of our table. He offered suggestions and gave our table a chef’s tasting menu satisfying the vegetarians and the meat eaters. We were thrilled with the whole experience! Favourites were butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, aloo gobi. Appetizers were all amazing. Can’t be missed at Planet Hollywood. Really lovely service from Rene. Thank you!!
