When we tasted the food at Sushi Yoshi, we felt like we were back in Japan! Fresh, delectable sashimi, rolls and even a special surprise – Osaka style pressed sushi! Adding to the authenticity of our experience was the genuine kindness and hospitality of the servers and host. We cannot wait to return!
They also make many of their own ingredients inhouse (GF soy sauce, for example) which really elevates the flavor of every dish. Enjoy!

I ordered the sashimi special which came out really good ,

Ordered a Philadelphia roll and a spicy tuna roll, both rolls came out to $16. The Philadelphia roll had a sliver of fish and the spicy tuna roll was a mix of tuna chunks and tuna paste. For the cost I expected way more from Sushi Yoshi. Better than gas station food, but for the cost, the servings are way too small.

I would give this place more of a 3.5. Place was nice and clean and employees were nice enough. The first thing you notice when you open the menu is how high the prices are for… everything… we ordered some basic rolls and they were decent, nothing mind blowing to be at that price. The roll i got was awkward and hard to eat since more than half of the roll was rice and it was sliced too thinly. Just moved to Louisville and in search of some local places to frequent. Not sure I would come back as there might be more reasonably priced sushi out there.

Lovely place with delicious sushi! Definitely coming back again! The staff are very friendly and the food is good. Little bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it!

I’ve loved the food at Sushi Yoshi for years. We used to go to the previous location by Costco, and was happy to see it relocate into downtown Louisville.

The staff are attentive and the food is delicious! I always like to try the special rolls for something new.

Incredible sushi! Generously portioned and the rice was insanely good. We did not experience any of the staffing issues that have been discussed in previous reviews, and we ate here on a summer, Saturday evening when things were hopping downtown — our waiter was very enjoyable! This is definitely an great place to treat yourself to a wonderful meal.

Good sushi, with all the options you typically expect. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather is agreeable. Prices are reasonable, especially considering it is in downtown Louisville. The only thing I didn’t like was how often the waiters would stop by. It was a little much.

Cute place. Decent sushi. Terrible management. It was a full restaurant with only one chef/cook in the kitchen. Yes, 1! guy in the kitchen with no help. Our rolls took nearly an hour to come out. We decided to order a couple more and they told us it would take another hour!! I’ve been going to sushi restaurants for over 20 years and never has my order taken more than 20 minutes. If they only have one guy working the kitchen then they should seat the counter only and turn everyone else away. Don’t screw your patrons because you can’t staff a restaurant properly.
