An extensive menu of maki & nigiri, plus lunch combos, offered in modest lower-level digs.

If you’re looking for a quiet gateway to have authentic and fresh sushi, I highly recommend this spot. The staff was so kind. The prices are very affordable for the high quality. The chef is skilled and was kind to present it to me himself. I’ll be back on another layover here soon. Thank you!

This is such a unique spot in downtown. It’s very small, intimate, quiet, and a perfect spot for a relaxing meal.
The rolls were fantastic! It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done.
I’d highly recommend this spot for solo travelers and dates. It’s not a great spot for large groups.
When you arrive, you can grab a menu, mark what you want and then go to the register to order.

Really amazing service and atmosphere! Some of the best quality sushi I’ve had from a restaurant. Ran by some really nice people too:) on of my favorite date spots with my boyfriend. We always go for the lunch special and pink lemonade

Stopped by this place incidentally and will be coming back! It was a quiet meal and the food was prepared fresh and quickly. I got the Pacific Roll with salmon, tuna, and avocado and both the fish and the avocado tasted of good quality. I also got a side of kimchi that tasted very good and had a good amount for the price.

This location was a little hard to find, so I figured I would take some photos of the lobby area of the McKay Tower (This restaurant is located in the basement of this building). As a tourist I really enjoyed the scenery they constructed within the fairly congested space. The food was solid all around, if I remember correctly I ordered either the “Spicy Salmon Roll” or the “Yummi Yummi Roll”. Either way as you suspect from the photo, it was delicious. Overall, I had a pleasant experience here and would definitely visit again.

Great sushi at a great price, can’t beat it. Glad I found this place as I’m not from the area. Highly recommend , Would go again. Very nice chef who takes order, prepares and takes your order to you. Gave us free nigiri rolls, And candy . In the basement of the old bank just follow the signs. Super tasty. Kind of hidden gem you always hope to find in an unfamiliar city!

I had a Satirday night dinner here before a concert at the GLC. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Such a lovely little place on the basement level. The chef was a very good guy. Can’t thank him enough for the wonderful experience.
The stairs down are a tad scary. I envy those of you who live in this beautiful city.

My family has been coming to this restaurant fairly regularly for a few years. In all that time, we’ve always had excellent fresh food and great service. We’ve tried sushi restaurants all over GR and this one is our current favorite. We usually get miso soup, salads with ginger dressing, AAC rolls, and sweet potato rolls. Just writing that out is making me hungry! The location also feels special and unique. I enjoy the atmosphere and plan to continue coming to the restaurant for years to come.

Excellent experience. Ordered the seaweed salad, miso soup, spider, crispy eel, Michigan, orange and dragon rolls. All the food was delicious. Many dishes had a nice flavor of toasted sesame. The server was very nice and even gave us a complimentary candy with our dinner! Don’t be off-put by the fact that it is tucked away in the basement, it is a great restaurant.

Cozy family-run sushi spot in the basement of a downtown high rise. It was tricky to find but we followed signage to get in. Sushi was made to order and delicious and fresh. We would happily come here again for dine in or takeout.
