The sushi here is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are fresh. The rice is cooked properly and the portions are good for the price. These rolls are quite big (above average) and lots of variety to choose from. Note this a takeout location only with no dining in. A great spot if you’re in the mood and looking to try something new. We’ve been multiple times now and they have been consistent. Enjoy

First time dine in the restaurant. Small sitting area but cozy. Food were tasty. We had a salmon sushi pizza, California roll and house special of bulgoki and tempura. Will visit again for lunch. They have a sign at the door they only open for dine in up to 4 pm.

I’ve been to well over a dozen sushi places in the GTA, and this place is right up there with some of the best of them. Great portion sizes, tasty house specials, and remarkably fast and friendly service. Presentation was also very cool.

This sushi is absolutely delicious! Very fresh, excellent value for the price. Wonderful service. Easy curbside pickup. Ordered the Maki + Sushi tray tonight (Christmas Day) for curbside pickup. Just as I was heading to pick it up, Waterdown had a massive power outage. The staff at Sushi Ya were working by flashlight, and brought my order out to my car right on time with no problems. They even included a little Christmas gift of green tea packages. Thank you Sushi Ya! This is our new go-to place; can’t wait to go back.

We just came back from checking this place out; we ordered the dinner for two option, for $60. It included a small green salad and a miso soup as a starter, a large serving of tempura, then a sushi boat that included 8 pieces each of sashimi, sushi, and maki. Food presentation was top notch, servers were very attentive, atmosphere was cosy, and although there is no ‘All You Can Eat’ option, the portions of fish are larger and thicker than we’ve had at other sushi restaurants. My only complaint is that I wish they provided washable reusable chopsticks instead of the wasteful single-use wooden ones. The ginger tea was lovely, everyone should order it!

Love this spot in Waterdown. So lucky to have this quality sushi spot in town! Owners are great. They always remember my name and order and the portions and quality are top notch. We used to drive out to Burlington to find decent Sushi but have been going here now for many years and it has never disappointed. If you live in Waterdown/Flamborough and like Sushi give Sushi Ya a shot.
