Highly recommend!
When we walked in, one of the first things that surprised me was how small and compact the restaurant was. After reviewing the menu and seeing that most specialty rolls were priced around $18 each, I was honestly surprised. I understand that small businesses have operational costs, and pricing can reflect many factors, but at this level, it naturally creates higher expectations for quality and overall experience.
We visited as a group of four and ordered two Chirashi bowls and four different rolls so we could experience a range of their menu. Since it was our first time, we asked which rolls were recommended, but the response was simply that everything was good. Because of that, we chose several different rolls ourselves.
I also noticed that there are multiple promotions, including offers such as two rolls for $32. Most of these deals are structured to encourage ordering more items in exchange for a small discount. I understand why restaurants offer these kinds of promotions, and they can be effective when customers are satisfied and naturally want to order more. However, in this case, the rolls did not leave a strong enough impression for me to feel encouraged by those offers. Personally, I would not order additional items simply because of these promotions.
When the rolls arrived, the presentation looked appealing at first glance, but the overall experience did not match the expectations created by the rating and pricing. The rolls were smaller than expected, and while they were not bad, they did not feel particularly refined or memorable for the price.
The Chirashi was presented nicely, and overall it was acceptable. I am not a sushi expert, so I won’t comment on technical aspects, but from a customer’s perspective, I expected a stronger overall impression based on the rating and cost.
At one point, I was visibly disappointed, although I did not complain to the staff. I was simply speaking quietly with my wife because I felt sorry for bringing others here based on the strong rating. The chef noticed and kindly offered us a few pieces of sushi to try. I appreciated that gesture, and the sushi itself was actually better than the rolls. Based on my experience, I would recommend choosing sushi rather than specialty rolls if you visit.
The staff were polite and friendly, and I respect their effort. However, overall, the experience did not fully align with the expectations created by the rating and pricing.
This was not a terrible experience, but it was not one that I would personally choose to repeat. I had hoped to find a place I could return to with confidence, but based on this visit, I would likely explore other options in the future.
I hope this feedback is helpful both for future customers and for the restaurant as they continue to improve.
My wife and I got the
Gyoza- 10/10
Edemame – its Edemame lol
Miso- 8/10 would be hire but I like seaweed in mine
Rainbow roll- 10/10
Chirash 10/10
They started us off with miso soup and edamame on the house, which was such a nice touch. We ordered the Super Dragon Roll and the Spider Roll—both were great, but the Dragon Roll really stole the show. We also tried the Super Crunch, which was just okay compared to the Dragon Roll.
The real surprise though? The green mussels. Absolutely divine. Like, still-thinking-about-them divine. To top it all off, they brought us peeled orange slices at the end, and it was the perfect, refreshing finish to the meal.
Came in for a quick lunch, left very full and very happy. Will definitely be back
