We had to wait 40 minutes for food, and 20 minutes for service in an empty restaurant, and then got served the smallest portions possible of the most inedible food. I literally vomited while I was here it was so bad. The meatballs, which is their signature dish, was so overcooked I could barely cut into them. The pasta was so al dente I thought it was raw, and the vodka sauce I got was so flavorless I thought it was watered down tomato juice. My partner got their grilled chicken sandwich and it tasted exactly like cigarettes?? Why did I waste my entire afternoon waiting for food that just left us nauseous and sick. The price here is way too high for food and service that isnt stellar. Manager comped our meal without talking or seeing us, which was awesome but also I would’ve loved having a convo with him about things they can improve on.

It was a good. Great little Italian place. It’s nice they do a monthly meatball. We were a group of 8, not a long wait…

Hit or miss but lately a huge miss. Recently it’s been gross. Walked in to a psoriasis medication ad blasting from a busted speaker because their normal system was broken and they couldn’t splurge for Spotify premium. Multiple un-cleared tables and trash on the floor that stayed that way for 30 minutes. Service was mediocre despite the restaurant being empty. Our server was a nice guy though. Mac n cheese sauce was gross oily soup, meatballs smelled weird, burgers were burnt, fries were soggy. Sold out of multiple menu options. Draft wasn’t working either. Disappointing because it used to be good and the bad experience brought down the mood to start the night.

My first time dinning here was a few weeks ago. It’s was very very busy and we had a party of 9 people. They were able to accommodate us with only a 30 minute wait time. The food was good, not great. Pricing was reasonable. With in walking distance of the convention center. A pretty cool place overall!

Walked in because it was across the street from our hotel and it was packed. Happy hour runs til 9 on Friday so that was a huge plus. Our bartender Bella was exceptional and combined a welcome to my home vibe with a professional and efficient twist. The meatballs were moist and large and the Wedge Salad and Cheese Bread were perfectly prepared and large quantities.

Our waitress was super nice and personable. I have been to the rooftop numerous times and loved it. For my birthday dinner I wanted to go to their restaurant, Emporio, because I have heard it was good too. I will say all of our food was really bad. Everyone’s pasta was watery and my friends cheesy bread was cold and not toasted at all. I am really disappointed because IL Tetto is one of my favorite hang out spots during the summer and I had never had a bad experience with ordering small plates up there.

We used to LOVE this restaurant. Unfortunately there have been several negative menu changes and we likely wont be back. You now only get 2 meatballs in the bowls (instead of 4), pork is no longer an option for the meatballs, and they removed the roasted brussel sprouts (fan favorite). The only vegetable option is now listed on the menu as “roasted vegetables” but came out only broccoli (steamed – not roasted, and zero seasoning).

If I could no stars I would. Our server was the bartender. She couldn’t handle tables and the bar. She had a table of 4 brought water for 3. She didn’t bring us silver wear and our meal came. We asked the food runner to get us some he ignored us and walked another way hoping we didn’t see him. I ordered a meal that was to get 2 sides. She didn’t ask me what sides I wanted. Didn’t come back to fill drinks. Didn’t come back to check on us. We had to get someone else to get her to come back. She than charged my 32 for a 22 meal. At this point I did not care I paid it and left.

And this is why people don’t make a living wage. You showing up to work doesn’t mean you’re entitled to anything. Smh this was pathetic service and I’m pretty sure that Bartender is skimming from the place and taking tips off the tab by over charging. This is why people don’t want to tip but yet I gave 20-% even after you failed your job as a waiter. Your boss should be the one to pay for u to be terrible/lazy at your job.

Ordered for carry out. Picked up order and when we got back to our hotel and opened up the bag, one of our dishes was missing. I called the restaurant. The hostess who picked it up was sweet and apologetic. She got her manager. That’s when things went sideways. The manager, Jason, was EXTREMELY rude. He asked what I wanted him to do. I said we couldn’t go back to the restaurant because we’d have to take an uber there and back – made no sense. I asked for a refund for just the dish that was missing – I thought, pretty reasonable. He then said (I’m paraphrasing) there was not much he could do because he had no way of confirming whether or not the dish I said was missing was actually missing. His “advice” to me was to call the credit card company. It was unbelievable! Why would I call and LIE, asking for a refund of one 15 dollar dish? Finally, he got snarky, said some defensive BS, said he was supposedly going to find my order and refund my credit card for the whole meal (not going to hold my breath), and handed it back to the nice hostess. If the food was worth it, I might’ve let it pass. But the food wasn’t tasty. Everything was bland. The portions were small for the price. There are way too many good restaurants in Pittsburgh to waste time and money at a place with bland food and rude managerial staff. And MY advice to Jason – find a different job because customer service is clearly not your thing.

My meatballs were BURNT. $60 for two ridiculously small portions of spaghetti with no sides or bread. Menu had incorrect information. The Diablo sauce didn’t taste good at all. I should have gone to Old Spaghetti Factory. Really disappointing. Don’t eat here.
