Went here with my mom and sisters and we enjoyed the food! Waitress wasn’t real friendly but she took good care of us. The only criticism I would have is that the wasabi tasted stale. I could have eaten it by the spoonful, not hot at all. It’s supposed to clean out your sinuses this stuff was not great at all. But the sushi was good, so 4 stars anyway

This restaurant used to be a great place to stop for sushi. I came in with two friends last night (02/08/2026). It was around 6:30 PM when we arrived. We were seated relatively quickly, not much of a wait. Our server greeted us after 10 minutes of us sitting at the table. She took our drink order and came back soon. We provided her with our appetizer orders and the rolls we wanted. Our food took a lot longer to receive than by normal standard. This is where the issue major issue began for me. I ordered the JMU Roll and The Spicy Tuna roll. I love sushi and very, very, Very rarely to I send food back. However, ate a few pieces of the sushi and did not find it edible enough to eat. Informed the server when she came by “I’m very sorry, but I do not like this. I cannot eat it. Can I please order a different roll to replace it?” She responded with “I’m so sorry you do not like it. Typically, you are charged for what you do not eat. I’ll not say anything to the manager and just put in a new order for you.” I found that very strange. Nevertheless, I provided her with my order. My friend also ordered another item as well. She received her item pretty quick. My replacement order was never received. As time passed, the server would come by and say they are working on it. 45 minutes later she said “It will be a while before it’s ready. Do you still want to wait, or would you like your check?” I told her “I would just like the check.” I paid and left. $30 wasted.
Do better! I understand kitchens get busy, being short staffed, etc. However, your customers are what keep you in business. I’ve read the feedback you’ve provided to other people who leave reviews, don’t come at me with attitude. Hold yourself accountable.

Been over 2 years since I’ve last came here because the quality of the food just declined, however decided to give it a shot since it’s been a while and was pleasantly surprised, they definitely changed the menu up, lots of great items added to the menu like takoyaki, chicken skewers, new sushi appetizers, and rolls in general. Food was 4 out of 5, nice waitress, will be back for more! (Cost around $50 all you can eat for two people)

Came here for my birthday dinner and deeply regret it. I see a lot of people have enjoyed this place. My raw sushi was warm which grossed me out immediately and then the vegetable fried rice was um.. questionable lol. I did the all you can eat which was a waste of my money because I barely ate anything I gave the majority of my food to my partner. Other than the food the service just wasn’t good I mean they took over 30 minutes to bring out a roll of sushi. If it’s all you can eat should be a little faster in my opinion. Do not recommend.

This place NEVER disappoints!!! 11/10 every time when I’m in the mood for all you can eat sushi. My boyfriend and I used to come here all the time as students at JMU and we graduated in 2020. We both live in nova now and actually made a trip to Harrisonburg tonight just to come to Sushi Village because it’s the most affordable all you can eat sushi that is also good quality that we have found. None of the places in nova have lived up to it.
(Sorry if I’m butchering the name) our server Tomoi was absolutely great and so sweet. Sushi came out so fast and fresh every time too.
The one star reviews on here need to chill because we’ve literally never had any issue with this place!!
Also if anyone is curious dinner is $22.95 for all you can eat

My first time eating here, getting seated was good at first and we received our drinks. After ordering our appetizers, it came out fast and decent, but they forgot some of my appetizers which I ignored. However, it took about 30-40 minutes before we had to grab our server’s attention (because we had watched another table do the same) to take our main dish orders, and they once again forgot to bring something i ordered, by this time I was upset because my server was not approaching us and rather chatting in the back and had horrible manners. The one time that she came up to us was to let us know the all you can eat sushi bar was closing when they kept us waiting almost an hour to order. I was not happy with this service, and when I complained to our server for treating us poorly and not doing her job, she argued that she had “treated all the customers the same” and that they claimed they had given us “best service”. I have never been treated this way in my life at a restaurant and when I came back in the morning to speak to a manager about what happened, I was met with the same two servers who excused their behavior and immediately argued with us that none of the other customers complained (even though we spoke to one of them after we left, and they were just as angry about the service), and instead boasted about the tips they received. I asked them to either give me a refund or an apology but our server kept giving us sneering looks, repeatedly talking over us, and rolling her eyes at us by which we had left because they would rather argue than apologize for the mistreatment and take responsibility. I would not recommend coming here.

It was fine. All you can eat sushi with some creative rolls, but the small slices of fish on the nigiri suggests they should charge a bit more and not skimp so much. Also, the animated Halloween lawn animatronic they (for some reason) still had up on December 14th made we want to injure myself after 10 minutes of it going off continuously while I ate.

I was dining here for the first time as part of a group, and the experience was very disappointing, mainly due to the lack of basic customer service and communication.
We were seated and received drinks, and some appetizers came out quickly, though a few items we ordered never arrived. At first, we were willing to overlook this. However, after that, we waited around 30 minutes just to place our main orders. No one checked on us during that time, and we eventually had to get the server’s attention ourselves. We did try mentioning such problems but the waiter runs off before we can even say anything. At a well-run restaurant, servers check in periodically, notice when guests are waiting too long, and communicate delays. None of that happened here. Our server rarely came to the table and spent more time chatting in the back and just staring. The only time she approached us on her own was to tell us the all-you-can-eat sushi bar was closing, which was obviously frustrating considering how long we had already been waiting to order. If the restaurant was nearing closing time or unable to provide full service, that should have been communicated when we were seated. A simple heads-up such as letting us know service might be limited would have allowed us to decide whether to stay. Instead, we were given no warning and left waiting with no communication. When concerns were raised, the response was defensive rather than apologetic. A good restaurant takes responsibility, communicates clearly, and treats guests with courtesy. Had someone checked on us, explained the situation, or handled the issue kindly, this experience could have ended very differently. Because of the poor service and lack of accountability, I would not recommend this restaurant.

They were super busy when we went in with a fairly large group. After 20 min I asked for service. Explain we had not received drinks. Was asked of we had even received a waiter. We had not. So she said one moment. We waited about 15 more min. and a man came over, apologized and assured he would take care of us. We gave our order and waited another 15 min. Finally got up and left. We saw him at another table with our drinks on the cart, but kept on walking.
