Absolutely amazing sushi! The flavours are outstanding and the rice to filling ratio on the rolls is perfect not too much rice and generously filled, which makes every bite delicious. The presentation is also top tier; each roll looks like a little work of art, very well put together and super appetizing.
Everything we tried tasted so fresh and flavourful, it honestly left us wanting more. Our favourites were the Rocky Mountain roll, mango avocado roll, chicken teriyaki roll, spicy salmon, and the dynamite roll all of them were excellent.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great quality sushi with beautiful presentation and amazing taste!

Amazing experience at Sushi Yummy!
Everything was super delicious with excellent quality and very fresh ingredients. You can really taste the freshness in every bite.
The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend trying their Deep Fried Bacon & California Roll — absolutely must-try, so flavorful and perfectly made!

I went to Sushi Yumi on Lonsdale last night, and everything was super fresh and delicious! The sushi rolls were beautifully made, and the portions were generous. The place has a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and polite. It took a bit of time for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Definitely a good spot for sushi lovers!

Great food, but odd tipping experience
The food at Sushi Umi in North Vancouver was absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared — I truly enjoyed every bite. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend for sushi lovers.
However, there was a strange experience with the tipping process. Both my friend and I noticed that each time we went to pay, the server had already added the tip herself and informed us that the tip was included. While it was only a 15% tip (the minimum), it would have been better if we had the option to choose the tip ourselves.
Overall, the food was great, but a little more transparency and control over the tip would have made the experience feel more comfortable.

I recently visited Sushi Umi in North Vancouver and found the atmosphere very pleasant with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The food was fresh and tasty, but I did notice some changes compared to my last visit—portions seemed smaller and the plating style has changed. Still, the quality was good overall, and it remains a solid spot for sushi in the area.

Sushi Uni is a great spot for fresh, well-prepared sushi. The quality of the fish really stands out, portions are generous, and everything tastes clean and authentic. Personal Favorites: Salmon Cone, Yam and Mushroom Roll, John’s Roll, and the Spicy Mayo has a slight undertone of sweetness, which levels it up in comparison to others. They offer a large variety of vegan and vegetarian rolls, which is a nice change from typical veggie rolls.
Food Quality: I hate to say it, but I’ve noticed the quality of their food has been inconsistent in recent months, which is why I procrastinated posting a review. One day, the salmon was great, then a week or two later, the salmon was chewy, and this has happened a few times now. I hope it was a temporary glitch and that things improve, because it’s a shame.
Overall: nice atmosphere, isn’t too loud; however, it can get packed during peak meal times, so be prepared! They offer outdoor dining, which is great on a nice day. This is a fun place to go with a large group to try a few different things since again, their rolls are noticeably larger than other places and very shareable!
