I feel SCAMMED. It wasn’t a surcharge they just forcefully added a 15% tip to the bill without asking or informing me.
Never heard such a stupid thing before. Never returning again.
Well I am happy I decided to go here. The service was really friendly and welcoming. The food was really good and I enjoyed everything that was ordered.
We started with soft shell crab, and tempura appetizers, both were fresh and hot and crispy. For the entrees we got steak bento, and sushi and sashimi combo. I didn’t realize the dinner bento came with tempura, so I ate alot of tempura(lol…sooo good). I enjoyed the steak and the sushi and sashimi was really fresh.
I will gladly comeback, when I visit Newmarket again.
It’s small, but clean and inviting. The staff was also very friendly. The prices are among the lowest in our community, and their lunch deals are excellent. It’s a great place for lunch, with plenty of free parking right by the restaurant.
I will definitely be returning!
We ordered for takeout 4 maki rolls. The Philadelphia roll was very tasty. The L.A. role and Aurora were both very similar but had good taste. The Red dragon was perfect with lettuce and shrimp tempura and with the Salmon sashimi topping! The only complaint is that the miso soup (which had a good recipe with curd cheese cubed in it) wasn’t included as it’s usually included in other sushi restaurants but here we had to pay extra for it. Generally the rolls were fresh and yummy.
Had the $10.99 lunch special chicken fried noodle which was made with udon noodle of course.
So much flavour and the chicken wasnt dried out either. Good amount if bean sprout too.
Ordered a Philadelphia roll which was $6.99 for 6 pieces. It was fresh and good but bit smaller than i expected but for $6.99 it was ok for value.
Rest of family enjoyed their food like Tofu Teriyaki, chicken teriyaki bento box, and chicken udon along with cali rolls.
If youre looking for value and good food this is your place. If you need a little more food it wont be too much to add. I would come back for sure with our 4 kids. My noodles were so good i devoured it forgetting to grab a picture sorry
