Not a place to get top notch sushi. Not cheap either. So I ordered a roll that has tuna and salmon topped. It means a quarter of inch piece of that. Any other place topped means tiled all over the top with tuna. Nothing like the pictures that showed tuna from on side to the other-they skimp! The wasabi was liquidy. For $40 2 rolls and a hibachi chicken for lunch. I wouldn’t go back if it was $10. You want sushi go to EZz in birkdale or Coral and Cool Fish is solid and prices aren’t any different then this small little spot. Stay away if your going for sushi, hibachi was good though!

Tried it a couple times, hoping it would get better. But just got worse. This place has a american twist to their sushi not authentic traditional sushi. Just stick to their hibachi/teriyaki chicken/steak plates it should be ok.

I give it two because they were courteous and understanding when I took it back. The sushi is horrible. No flavor WHATSOEVER. Over riced! My New Orleans roll was NOT a Nola inspired roll( yuck). The veggie roll could have tasted better but it tasted over battered. Again, service was fine but OWNERS! Put out a better product. That was going to be a $12 lunch if I didn’t return it. Horrible.

Wasabi was REALLY odd color… they didn’t put the eel sauce on the Juan roll… the tempura was also salty, tasted like old oil or something. Spicy Mayo didn’t look right either, looked old. We ordered on Friday, and had upset stomachs all weekend. We’ve been here a few times and it was ehhh for the price since they did the BOGO 1/2, but since they stopped that… 50 something dollars for 4 not great rolls was not worth it, especially if that is what upset our stomachs.

The boba drink( forgot to take pic) was really go but they were out of more flavors. The food and sushi was okay. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it also wasn’t the worst either. The carrots are really sweet but the rice balances it out. The steak was good( better then yoshis) it wasn’t dry and cooked perfectly. Took a while to get our food but other then that I’d try this place out again

Crunchy chicken sushi rolls are THE BEST!! I don’t eat seafood, so traditional sushi rolls don’t work for me. I can across this at Sushi Star and can hardly find them anywhere else. They are fried so crispy and light. Hibachi is good too!
