Dining at Sushi Sakuta was an exceptional experience. The omakase was beautifully curated with the freshest seasonal ingredients, each course thoughtfully presented and explained by the chef. Every bite highlighted a balance of tradition and creativity, showcasing the depth of Japanese culinary artistry.

The service was warm, attentive, and refined, making the entire evening feel special without being overly formal. The intimate counter setting also allowed for a closer appreciation of the craftsmanship behind each dish.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for an elevated sushi experience in Singapore.

Absolutely exceptional and surreal experience at Sushi Sakuta. Every piece of sushi was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour — you can really taste the quality and care that goes into the ingredients.

Watching Chef Sakuta carefully prepare each sushi felt like watching an art piece come to life. One can really see his attention to detail and care into ensuring that each slice was done to perfection.

What made the evening even more enjoyable was the warm, genuine hospitality of the staff. They were attentive without being overly formal, which created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience.

“Exceptional Omakase My New Favorite”

This omakase course was absolutely outstanding by far the best I’ve ever had. It has completely raised the bar and now holds the top spot in my mind. Every other place I’ve tried before just doesn’t compare.

The quality of the ingredients was superb, and the chef was incredibly attentive and meticulous. You can truly feel the passion and precision in every dish.

Since trying this place, I haven’t been able to enjoy omakase anywhere else the same way.

Thank you Sakuta Team ❤️☺️

The sommelier is very knowledgeable and the alcohol journey is 100% matches with the food course.
The chef didn’t say much but the food is wonderful.

I’ll definitely visit here next time when I visit Singapore.

I was attracted by recent Michelin star rating that sushi sakuta was raised to two star ⭐ restaurant. The chef is so nice and humber that listen to every guest’s instant feedbacks even its negative. I enjoy the food and service there. Several of day’s course is similar to other restaurants but prepare in different ways, some are first time have. Like their rice and sushi and this restaurant offers variety of premium sake and wines that not find in other restaurants.

The best place for sushi in Singapore (in my opinion). The ingredients and the chef’s skills are top notch.

My favourite dish was the abalone, because many restaurants in Singapore often make it too chewy for my liking, but the ones here are so soft and just melts in your mouth!

The atmosphere here will be more quiet as the chef himself seems more reserved, which is something that I appreciate.

Sushi Sakuta offers an omakase experience that is truly the best in the world! Each flavor has its own unique character, making every bite a delightful experience.

We started off with the scallop soup, which was simply amazing. The white fish with truffle was a wow moment, and the kinki shabu shabu was a true delight. The boiled spear squid was cooked to perfection, and let’s not forget the steamed abalone with abalone liver sauce – it was a killer dish! Chef Sakuta’s secret recipe is simply divine; with each bite, you can taste the different textures and creaminess. All you have to do is close your eyes and embrace the goodness, especially when paired with the rice on the side to mop up every last drop of sauce!

We were fortunate to indulge in the sea urchin, which took our taste buds straight to heaven. Words cannot describe the sheer goodness of each and every dish served on our table. Chef Sakuta did an outstanding job, and credit must also go to Chef Yoshi for taking care of us throughout the meal. His craftsmanship is akin to that of a maestro, evident in every dish he prepares. Special thanks also to Chef Tomoya, Chef Kazuma, and the highlight of the day, Makoto-dono, for keeping the booze flowing!

PS. Our heartfelt thanks to our lovely hostess as well, whose service was simply amazing!

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Sushi Sakuta team for an unforgettable dining experience!

It was a memorable culinary experience! My 15-lunch course meal begins with puffer fish soup, followed by pine flounder, sweet shrimp with caviar, grilled eel, monkfish liver and steamed abalone with abalone liver sauce. Its nigiri offerings features a variety of seasonal premium ingredients like sea bream, leatherjacket, Otoro, sea urchin, needlefish and female snow crab.

Some of my favorite dishes are the sweet shrimp with caviar, the steamed abalone, tuna nigiri and sea urchin nigiri. Majority of the dishes are served with minimal adornment so that every ingredient really brings out the full flavor of them. The nigiri also comes in slightly smaller sizes, with the rice seasoned with just the right amount of red and white vinegar. I thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. Everything is crafted to perfection and the attention to detail, quality and service was top notch. Definitely worth the one Michelin star!

One of the best and my favourite sushi Omakase restaurants in Singapore! Always a great experience with Chef Sakuta at the helm and head sommelier Makoto for his service. My favourites are the kinmedai and nodoguro. The great thing is that they can also serve wine from any bottle you’d like so you don’t have to get the whole bottle.
