Small place, great food and service, at reasonable prices. Sushi rice was very good which is how you can tell the difference between meh and good sushi places and also why you don’t really want to buy premade rolls from a grocery store. I liked the Galaxy roll due to its food texture and taste.
My partner had a sashimi combo and fish quality was very good. Well balanced miso soup and crunchy ginger house salad were also tasty. I won’t hesitate going there again, ordering a take out or recommend ding to friends.

Best soft shell crab I have ever had. Tobiko Nigiri was aswell. Rockin Roll sushi roll was excellent and the Miso Soup was, as it should. Daughter says her spring rolls, gyozas and cali roll were all very fresh and tasted great. I should add, all looked stunning. Definitely will be back. Pretty small place, as it fits about 8-10 people. Sorry for half eaten pics. Realized I should, after tasting and loving it.

The sushi here is excellent. Very well made and fresh. Great flavors with beautiful presentation. They have a separate gluten free menu, which is shorter with plenty of options. They have clearly labeled and separate gluten free soy sauce. There’s not a lot of seating, but they do take away and if you do sit, the chopsticks are good (but the cheap wooden kind), they bring bottomless tea for the table for $3. And it’s all made fresh on the spot. I highly recommend this place.

This is the best sushi in ottawa and so cheap for such quality! My husband and I got the takoyaki, a mt.Fuji roll, spicy salmon roll, kamikaze roll as well as a platter of sashimi thay came with a small side salad and delicious miso soup and with tip we still spent under 100$!!!
Staff was amazing and so quick and polite, everything was super clean and so quiet as well.
Will be coming back here this is my new favourite restaurant <3

Food is incredible. I was only here for a very short time as I had to go. I would have loved to have had everything on the menu but I didn’t have time. I had the chicken karate with wasabi mayo and it was incredible. Something you have never had but wish you did. Amazing. If I’m in Ottawa again I will definitely go here

The place is small and cosy, not a lot of seating area. It was a spontaneous decision to have sushi in the area and this place had the best rating of all the options. The sushi was average like any other sushi place in a mall perhaps. I have definitely tasted better sushi but for a first time it was okay in general. I liked the fried baby octopus though.

The whole experience was good at best. The food was delicious. I came in with another person and had Maki Moriawase, Eel Pizza, and Caterpillar Roll. Had a variety of unique and traditional tastes. Unfortunately, the shrimp were dried. Otherwise, the rest of our food was good.
The atmosphere was nothing decent, but kind of cramped. The service could have been much better as our table had not been attended for a while. For now, 3/5!

We came here as a family of 5 to have dinner, it’s a small cozy spot with 3 tables (tables fit2-2-4) when we first told them we were a family of 5 they didn’t want to let us sit on a table of 4 and add a chair. They said table is too small, then I insisted and told them we were a family with 3 kids so the table size is decent. We ordered few appetizers and sushi . The place was empty but lots of take away orders after waiting for 30 minutes I asked if we could at least get our Edmame! Unfortunately the lady wasn’t very nice and she said “we are busy” I completely understand that but since we were the only sit down people they had they could’ve at least gave us one thing to much on while waiting! Service was our only draw back but sushi was 10/10 all fresh and very tasty. We had the red dragon and house rolls amazing . Nigiri was great for the Saki salmon! Definitely worth a visit! It’s on our favourite list now but maybe to go next time!

First time to Sushi-ro and the reviews were accurate. Great food! We shared edamame, rainbow roll, salmon sashimi and the Fuji Mountain! Very tasty and we will be back!
