I had a fantastic experience here. The cleanliness was truly impressive, and the host made me feel very welcome. But the food? Absolutely amazing! Don’t miss the Star Wars roll – it was a highlight. Highly recommended to everyone.

The quality of the food has changed, when it was Poki 1/2 it was super delicious. Now the name changed and they added a sushi station(nothing wrong with that). The tuna is not the same and they got rid of most of the protein choices. The spicy mayo is not the same and some toppings were also removed. The tuna had chunks of albumin (white pieces of protein from the tuna). Unfortunately I will not be returning which is sad because I really enjoyed it when I attended SDSU.

If I could give this store a negative I would. They didn’t listen to anything I put on my order (I also called to confirm) & prepared my bowl however they chose. The employees are very rude and DO NOT BELONG SERVING THE PUBLIC!! I waisted $20.00 on a bowl I didn’t order or enjoy. If your franchise wants to stay in business I highly suggest you start from scratch with this locations! Ordered a large bowl with greens and a side of rice instead got less than half a medium bowl w no greens and all rice. I was unable to eat it because my body doesn’t digest rice (rice was not for me). I will be disputing the charge on my card and I will continue to write a review EVERY SINGLE DAY until I get my refund and something is done at the store level to ensure all others who visit this establishment don’t deal w the same rude inadequate behavior/experience as I have. Large greens bowl missing all the greens less than half full for $20.00. Clean up your establishment before you allow your non loyal employees to loose it for you! FYI the order only doesn’t allow you to select all greens as the base that is why I called in once my order was placed as well as included it in my notes and was reassured that she was going to prepare it correctly. NOT! If you can’t get your job right at Poke One N Half then maybe you need to start w some basic job training with an bonus course on listening and common sense. DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!

compared to the other locations this store has the lowest cost to value ratio. portions 1/2 the size for same cost. when I asked the cashier why the portions were so small they said their staff was new and offered a fountain drink instead of offering to fix the issue.

Monday. August 15 7:08pm. If I can give this place 0 stars I would. The employees were so rude. The doors were locked an hour before they were closed. They were mad because they had to open the doors. The worse service I had ever received. The employees laughed at me because I asked for a spoon. I will never come back and I will warn people about this place.

Tried almost their entire drink selection. the Mango Mambo smoothie and Passionfruit tea are my go-tos. Very busy though, smells like unwashed college kids.

I used to love this place. I stopped going for a while and when I returned it was completely different. It’s still the same name but now they charge for avocado, the bowls are more expensive and they don’t have spicy tuna which I loved.
The people working there made me feel self conscious about whether I was following protocol for ordering because now you have to order at the counter rather than with the person making your bowl. They were not helpful. Too shy maybe?
Couple that with how difficult it is to find parking.
I love Poke one n half but I’m not visiting this location again.

The workers are not friendly at all, we walked in and no one even acknowledge us and the place was dead. We ordered 2 poke bowls and it took over 15 mins for our order to come out and there was absolutely no one in there. There was 3 workers; the cashier was on her phone the whole time, another worker was watching TV and eating and drinking on the sushi counter where the food is prepared which is so gross and out of health code standards. There was only one worker who was actually working and that is likely why it took so long for 2 simple poke bowls.

Seeing as this used to be poke one n half, I was expecting the poke bowls to still be as good as they were before. I thought wrong. The poke bowls now are way smaller, 70% rice, and have very few toppings that you finish the toppings during the first half of eating and are left with rice, which is barely coated in sauce which they also got stingey with. The bowl was $20, I’d value it more like $11-12. This place is not what it used to be in terms of poke bowls. I’d say just stop selling them if you’re gonna half ass it, and if you were thinking of getting a bowl, don’t. Waste of money and not tasty as. Not to mention they stopped offering pineapple as a topping which used to be my favorite! You will be left hungry if you order a bowl here. Biggest downgrade ever.

I’m truly disheartened by the recent rebranding and the new portion sizes of their Poke Bowls.

Poki One N Half was my favorite spot on campus, and it’s baffling that they decided to change a successful model. The previous setup was working perfectly.

This used to be the best place at SDSU to get a healthy/filling meal.

I urge everyone to pay attention to the recent reviews highlighting their subpar service and shockingly small serving sizes.

From now on, I will be going to the Poki One N Half in North Park.

EDIT: I just found out their reason for rebranding: They were failing to maximize their revenue. It turns out that students using their SDSU dining dollars for Poke Bowls significantly reduced their profits compared to other Poki One N Half locations. Their solution? A complete rebranding to offer a variety of plates that have lower production costs but are sold at a higher price point…

Don’t worry you can still get your Poke Bowl, it will just have significantly smaller portions and come at a higher price point.
