A great little place for sushi, they made me a really good dragon roll and really paid attention to the details and it was quite tasty, albeit on the Sweet side, but I suppose that people like that on average. Very friendly and quick service and almost reasonably priced for airport food.

Had a few minutes to spare before catching a flight to Fairbanks and I’m glad this was the spot next to my gate! Had Salmon, Yellowtail, and Scallop Nigiri and was amazed. Great quality and absolutely delicious!
The sushi chef served a spicy mixed Poke as well that I’m going to be wishing I could find closer to home.
Trust this airport Sushi without a second doubt!

GREAT SERVICE AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. The Anchorage airport has incredible views and this restaurant is privy to them. The food was very good but the service was excellent. Helpful with advice on the menu and explained the many different rolls. Had the OMG roll and the monster roll. Both were made in front of me and were very good. This is a great place for a quick bite between flights.

I asked the waitress what she recommended. She said Kung Pao Chicken. Let the photo speak for itself. It was great!

I really enjoy sushi on the fly. The options at the Anchorage airport are limited. But sushi on the fly is my favorite spot. Their sushi is very good and better than airport sushi I have had in NYC, their sesame chicken is excellent, and their service is very good. They also offer discounts for airline staff. If you are in ANC before they close, don’t skip this spot.

I get lunch at work. They’re sushi is delish and I love getting their Mongolian beef. The potions are big and the employee menus are super nice and considerate to use at the airport.

Better than typical airport sushi. We had the veggie roll (ok), salmon poke (good, but note not wild salmon), orange chicken (good), and stir fry seafood rice (good, but more Chinese than Japanese ).
The food was served pretty fast. They have several large tvs with sports games on, so you have some distraction. Staff is pretty friendly, and polite.
All in all a pretty good place to grab some good Japanese food before you hop on to your outbound flight.

I dont understand what all these other reviews are talking about with the automatically added gratuity. I just paid my bill and there was no auto gratuity. Service was good and the food was delicious! This was the first time I had sashimi, and it was fantastic! The sushi chef did great!

This place is as expected, but not extraordinary. Adequate place to get sushi. Food seems clean, but not the best. Good for airport restaurant and food that is usually offered at an airport. I probably will not go here again.
Wait time was more than it should be at an airport. Expect to wait as long as a regular community sushi plave.

EDIT: I just checked my bank statement and THEY TIPPED THEMSELVES!!! I purposely didn’t tip because one, they gave themselves a 4% gratuity already added on and secondly, the service was horrible. I forgot to mention that there was open seats and the lady told me not to sit a certain table. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. Seriously so disappointed because I came here once 5 years ago and thought they were amazing. Now it’s just horrible.
I’ve made many mistakes in my life and coming to Sushi on the fly was definitely one of them. I didn’t even touch my teriyaki chicken because the chicken tasted old and dry. Service was terrible, couldn’t even get a water refill or shoyu.
$28 + 4% gratuity (was automatically added and I was eating alone, wish they would have put that somewhere because I definitely wouldn’t have eaten here) I expected the bento box to at least be decent but even the California roll weren’t good. I wouldn’t waste your time or money here.
