The all-you-can-eat menu is an incredible value, and the quality truly exceeded our expectations. I ordered the ramen, fried rice, and hibachi — each dish came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The ramen broth was rich and comforting, the fried rice was perfectly seasoned, and the hibachi was cooked just right with generous portions.
My family ordered a variety of sushi rolls, and every single one looked beautiful and tasted amazing. The fish was fresh, the rolls were well-made, and there were so many creative options to choose from. It’s rare to find AYCE sushi that maintains this level of quality.
Overall, this place delivers both quantity and quality — which is not easy to do. We left completely satisfied and already talking about our next visit. If you’re in the Vienna area and craving sushi or Japanese favorites, Sushi Oishii AYCE is a must-try. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The kiddos loved the steak and shrimp hibachi, as well as the chicken ramen. I tried out the ‘spicy seafood’ soup which turned out to be similar to a tom-yum style soup; shrimp and veggies with a nice spicy kick.
And our waitress, Jane, was great. Very attentive and friendly to my family. We’ll definitely keep this AYCE spot in our family dining out rotation!
The atmosphere: Very cute dining space and nicely decorated.
The food: We visited on Christmas during lunch. They had a hot bar buffet set up with kalbi, egg rolls, General Tso’s chicken, a seafood boil, and more. The fish tasted fresh, and there were lots of options to choose from. The rolls were on the larger side and delicious.
The service: Overall good service and our orders came out quickly. I just wish our server had been more attentive to what was being delivered. I ordered the Spicy Girl roll, but the Phoenix roll was brought out instead. My sister is allergic to avocado, so that could’ve been a serious issue if we hadn’t noticed.
Service is fast and friendly.
The one thing I would caution, this is an all you can eat, but their item portions are large. 1 bowl of ramen is like 2/3 or 3/4 the size of an entree at another restaurant. So I recommend sharing each dish or asking the server if they can bring a small portion.
And It is All You Can Eat
The place is trendy and has quite a few tables. There is not enough parking, however. We were forced to park across the busy street. To be fair, it was 4 pm on Valentine’s Day and they were packed. Even so, we only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, which impressed us. The hostess was friendly and the place was clean. It is fairly noisy.
They have a decent-sized menu, although the specialty rolls are light on fresh fish, featuring a lot of shrimp tempura and Kani (fake crab). Our server was around a good bit, but I would not call her friendly or attentive. The wait staff as a whole was brusque and unfriendly.
We ordered hot tea and it was very weak, just this side of tasting like water. When we asked if it could be made stronger, our server added loose tea leaves to the cup. It did make it stronger, but we had to sift out the loose leafy bits with our chopsticks before we could drink the tea, because they were floating on top (pictured).
Our meal came out in pieces with some of it never arriving. The appetizers came out after the sushi rolls and only because we asked for them more than once. As you can see in the pictures, the chefs are not interested in presentation. Sushi is normally a feast for the eyes, but not at this place. They are mainly interested in getting it out quickly, which was sort of achieved, except for the items that never came.
The servers brought one dish at a time and set them on the table and promptly walked away, so we had to guess at whose were whose. Since everything was piece-mealed, our server lost track of what had and had not come.
The sushi itself had a decent rice-to-fillings ratio and the fish was fresh, but the cuts of fish were thin and bland. They used too much avocado and cucumber as filler (pictured), so that’s mainly what you taste. The nigiri pieces were small. The “spicy” tuna was not spicy at all, even with wasabi sauce and spicy mayo on top.
Ultimately, the food was just not worth the $33 each and the service was really poor. We won’t return.
