I ordered this through uber eats and wasn’t disappointed. The serving size for the lunch special was amazing. Rainbow roll and nigiri with miso soup and salad for $22. Impressive. Fresh and large servings.

This place is wonderful. We’ve tried sushi rolls, chicken yakisoba, gyoza and tempura veggies, all soooo delicious and fresh (and beautifully presented). It’s been quiet and peaceful when we eat there, with very friendly and fast service. When we got food to go, the quality was just as good. We keep looking forward to going back. Thank you for the delicious food!!

Stopped in for a quick dinner before work. Service was good up until the end. I ordered the house salad with ginger dressing, which unfortunately was not good at all — the dressing had very large chunks of ginger and a lot of liquid pooled at the bottom. The portion was generous, but I couldn’t eat it and asked to switch to the spicy edamame instead.

When the edamame came out, it was salted edamame topped with sweet chili sauce. It wasn’t spicy whatsoever — it was actually very sweet. If I had wanted sweet edamame, I would have ordered that. I didn’t complain again or send it back; I just didn’t finish it.

I also ordered six pieces of salmon nigiri, which were excellent. A miso soup was provided on the house, and both of those were great.

At the end of the meal, when I received the check, the server said, “Since it’s your first time, the house salad was taken off, but I can’t guarantee that’ll happen again.” That comment felt unnecessary and off-putting, especially since I wouldn’t order the salad again anyway.

Overall, the food was hit or miss, and while some items were great, the ending interaction really left a bad impression.

They’ve just started with a new ownership and a new chef. The Chef is very experienced and professional. You will love their rolls, sushi and sashimi. Staffs are also very friendly. You will find quality Japanese foods here. Highly recommended.

Went to Sushi Ocean for dinner yesterday and was disappointed in how inflexible they were. We ordered the sushi/nigiri platter ($65). It serves more than 1 yet we only got 1 tiny salad to split (we got two miso soups). Considering how much we paid for dinner $99 for two including tip, I’d think they would be more generous with something as inexpensive as romaine lettuce. Also, I wanted to swap out a comparatively priced sushi roll. Not possible. Actually, possible, but they wouldn’t do it. Something about the paradise roll going with the platter already. So if they make the rolls fresh, it really shouldn’t be an issue to swap it out. The yellowtail sushi also was weirdly chewy. I’ve never had that happen before so I question the quality. The service was fine, but I doubt we will be back. There are a lot of other places that are much better for $50 per person.

Ordered the Sashimi platter and a Red Dragon Roll. Everything was okay, the Sashimi didn’t seem fresh, and the salmon left a pink residue, assuming that was dye from farm raised fish. The dragon roll was okay also. At $63, this was pretty pricey for my tastes. The owners were nice and the restaurant, though small, was clean.

Overall, it was okay.

Friday dinner, done right! Blown away by the sushi roll presentation. Ordered Tropical roll and Spicy crunch roll. Both were absolutely delicious A special thank you for the complimentary appetizer sampler box. The fried veggies were lip smacking. Can’t wait to try more.

For this week’s local restaurant adventure, we visited Sushi Ocean for lunch. The place is small but has cozy feeling where the tables are placed close to each other but not too crowded. I ordered lunch combo L4 which is Spicy Pork Bento box. In the box, in addition to Spicy Pork and steamed white rice, the combo also came with Miso soup, small house salad, 2 pcs of pork gyoza (pot stickers), RM620 rolls (3 pcs), California rolls (2 pcs) and 2 pcs of Chef’s choice Nigri which were Shrimp and Tuna. The food had good taste, the portions was fair for the price and the service was very friendly. This might not be an everyday place to eat but definitely an excellent choice for a biweekly or monthly treat.

Great sushi and excellent bang for the buck. The nigiri selection is not as vast, but all the popular ones are there and ya know it’s fresh.
The tamaki is good and big selection of rolls to choose from.
