Such a great place! It’s beautiful, it’s quiet… the food IS DELICIOUS and it’s presented so beautifully. After a super stressful week at work, this was a perfect end to my day. Our waitress was so sweet and explained everything perfectly. You gotta try Sushi Motto… you won’t be disappointed

Sushi Motto is hands down the best sushi spot in Denton! The fish is incredibly fresh and the menu has an amazing variety of flavors to try. I’ve been a few times now and have been blown away each visit. The lemon pepper sushi is one of my favorites — the perfect slice of salmon and bold, bright flavors. The madai truffle carpaccio had a nice kick, while the salmon avocado carpaccio was perfectly balanced. The unagi was also spot on, with just the right amount of sauce.
Our server Peter was phenomenal — very professional, knowledgeable about the menu, and his recommendations were outstanding. After living in Denton for over 10 years, I can confidently say no other sushi restaurant (Blue Ginger, J Sushi, or I ❤️ Sushi) even comes close to Sushi Motto.

My husband and I moved to Texas a year ago from PNW and have been on the hunt for good food, especially sushi. This place nailed it, I’m so used to good fresh seafood and I’ve missed it so much. Quality of ingredients are there!

Wow! Just WOW!! I have eaten at some of the best sushi restaurants in DFW – Nobu, Komodo, Uchi, etc – and this place rivals them all!! Their quality ingredients are evident in their authentic use of Wasabia and some fabulous in-house sauces! Everything we had was fantastic! And the service was the right mix of attentive, respectful, and informative. What an amazing hidden gem of a place! Pro tip: order the Franky Roll and the Wagyu Lover Roll. Thank me later.

Based on high reviews, we tried Moto Sushi (for the first time) to meet some friends for dinner… and were blown away. Amazing quality and superb service.
Don’t be taken aback by prices (they initially appear high) but are SO absolutely worth it!
Try their Spicy Miso soup which was amazing, also their Squid Sashimi, it was delicious.
The restaurant is quite unassuming from the outside, but don’t be fooled, it’s a top notch Sushi restaurant.
We definitely plan to come back.

I know I review a lot of sushi places well, but this one was above and beyond! The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, but you could also enjoy meals with friends and family too! The cherry blossom bowls are so cute! Service was very quick and attentive. The food was not only delicious, savory, scrumptious! But it was also gorgeous! The presentation was beautiful. The owner/chef even came by personally. Motto Sushi is so comfy and we felt so cared for. A restaurant who truly loves their customers. ♥️ We will definitely be returning! I want motto Motto Sushi!

We have tried quite a few sushi restaurants in the area but this one is the best hands down. It is quite expensive but the quality is unmatched. We moved from Houston and were losing hope that we’d find something that could compare to our favorites but we found it! Interior is cute, service was great, but most importantly the sushi chef knew what he was doing! We will definitely be back.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant at least once a month and always have a fantastic experience. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is top-notch. Our go-to order includes the red dragon roll, salmon sashimi, tuna belly sushi, and miso soup—plus we love trying at least one new item each visit. The oysters are incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious, the salmon collar is outstanding, and the sweet shrimp sushi is always a treat. Highly recommend!

The bluefin tuna sushi and the Wagyu sushi were absolutely outstanding fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients and the skill behind each bite. Huge compliments to the chef, because the execution and presentation were top-tier and clearly made with care and expertise.While the food was exceptional, the service unfortunately didn’t match the same level . That said, the quality of the sushi alone made was very delicious, and the chef truly deserves recognition for delivering such incredible dishes.

Finally tried this place after driving by many times and wasn’t disappointed! In fact, it’s my new favorite sushi spot in Denton. The nigiri was super fresh, tender, and nicely cut, and the rolls were incredibly flavorful. They have a great variety and I can’t wait to try more. The beef fried rice was also some of the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, our server (forget his name) was very friendly, attentive, and funny.
