I’ve been wanting to try Sushi Moto but I’ve heard so many mixed reviews about it that I have been going to Reno every time I craved some sushi. Decided to try it for myself after seeing some more recent good reviews. And I’m glad I did!
The food was great with one exception and the service was good as well. The rolls were well made and the nigiri was good. The meal was fantastic and I was surprised at how good the Jalapeno Poppers were, too. I’ll definitely be back.
The only thing that wasn’t good were the massive sticks of imitation crab. My friend ordered that and wished he hadn’t. He thought it would be real crab. Had the stick of crab been a lot smaller it might have been more tolerable, but either way it just wasn’t good.

Sushi was good. Nothing crazy. There was one poor girl running the whole place. Taking orders, getting drinks, delivering food, bussing tables etc. She was doing a great job. Seemed defeated though. Hopefully they get more help.
(Update: went again. Sushi was great, service was a little better. Got the Mt. Roll)

Everyone was eating sushi but we chose entree. I has spicy Korean pork and hubby had chicken teriyaki. Both were very good. Pork had a little too much sauce but still was good.

My daughter and I both went for the 1st time and we ordered the all-you-can-eat special. It took FOREVER for our rolls that came out and not in any order. The rolls were taking SO long we just wanted the last one to go so we could finally leave and were told we would be charged for it separately. They consider 7 tables to be busy so if you want to spend a couple hours eating this is the place for you. Personally I will never return.

I went in with my family and was immediately greeted by the most unfriendly server I’ve ever encountered. She was obviously annoyed at our sheer presence and was agitated that I didn’t know the prices when asked if we were doing a la carte or all you can eat and we were never even given a chance to sit down so we just walked out and went to Dragon city where we were greeted with all smiles and wonderful food

I was very excited to try out this place especially because I’ve been craving teriyaki chicken and sushi but when I saw the prices I decided to hold off on the sushi and give the teriyaki a try since I saw their picture posted of the plate looks good but very disappointed. Nothing compared to the picture posted. My plate looks more like a kids menu and on top of that paying $28 for it was just not worthy. Also the fact that the chicken was so dry, man I can’t believe i had to experience this. Sucks man…

Wow. Beware of the “all you can eat” appetizer and sushi.
It’s all they want to serve you, not all you can eat. And when I put another ticket in for more sushi, I was told they will not cook us more food because they didn’t think we would finish it. So we sat there for 10 minutes waiting on nothing to come out. When I questioned about how is this service all you can eat when clearly it is not i was given a rude excuse. I said, well I’ll write this review on how this place is and was told by (Carmen), we don’t care about the reviews and we don’t have to come back. This place is a joke.

I would’ve loved to try this, but since the workers don’t even allow you to film THE FOOOD you’re going to eat, ew, do better. We got enough depressed sad people. You need to hire different energy. Clearly this isn’t working out for you guys.i do hear the owner!!!!!!! Not server or employee is kind of apologetic so… maybe in a few YEARS.

Was in town for business and found this place on the map. I was not disappointed! The fish to rice ratio was perfect! You can tell the sushi chefs take pride in their art and have created some amazing combinations. From the nigiri to the rolls everything I ate tasted fresh. I couldn’t believe this gem is hidden in such a random place. I will be back Sushi Moto!

We had a great experience with our all-you-can-eat sushi experience. The service was a little slow, but we like how you aren’t rushed. – Gregg and Regina
