Even though it’s in a different state my friends want to go back. We enjoyed an AYCE sushi lunch out as a group. If you don’t want AYCE you can order combos or a la carte.

Lots of options, great taste, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Overall, the sushi was pretty good and there were plenty of options to choose from as part of the all-you-can-eat deal including the rolls that sound like they are for dessert. The downside is that unlike many other places, nigiri, appetizers, and sashimi is not included in the deal but instead those are half of the regular price which is better than nothing. The crab rangoon was decent and so was the miso soup. The service was a little spotty and slow at times when it comes to ordering and receiving the food. Maybe I’ll be back to try the dessert rolls.

Honestly, the food here was bland and didn’t have any flavor. The spicy tuna wasn’t spicy, just looked like it was full of red coloring. We did the ayce dinner, nothing stood out for me and it had more avocado than anything. Service was somewhat ok, it was a bit busy. But it took a long time for someone to get our order. Wish it had ayce sashimi.

My partner and I ate over 80pcs of sushi together. All you can eat was $30 per person, so we definitely got our money’s worth. 10/10 recommend.

Sushi was a 10/10, that’s the only reason it gets a star. Went here for my birthday dinner for all you can eat. Our server gets a 0/10 he was slow, ignored us basically the entire time and served on 3 out of the 8 in his section. He also never explained how the all you can eat worked so we were confused the whole time. He would stare at us while we would try to get his attention and then walk into the kitchen for 5 minutes at a time. The sushi rolls on the all you can eat menu don’t have descriptions so when I ordered the Snow White roll I was surprised to taste that it had spice in it (I cannot handle spice and am allergic to most red peppers). I hoped for this restaurant but if you want just the good food just order take out!

I came here on a Friday at lunch for ayce and it was pretty busy!I was still seated right away and was impressed by my waiter Chuck or “Batman”. He was really funny and personable. Despite how busy he was he always made sure I never ran out of water and had ongoing banter with all of his tables. I want to give a shout out to chucks service!

Their system is pretty unique compared to other ayce places I’ve been to, this place you only have 2 appetizers included in your ayce of which there is a limited list available in the ayce. I’ve never encountered that before and I was a little apprehensive, but I would say the crab rangoons were really good and probably the best item I had! The crab rangoons although still crispy were room temp but the filling was good and I’m sure they would be fantastic warm. I would order these again in a heartbeat! I also got the miso soup which I was also very happy with. The amount of tofu, seaweed and green onion was perfect and the seaweed was all rehydrated which is rare to find in ayce places in my experience. My only critique was the broth was a tad more vinegary than I prefer. Otherwise this is one of the better miso soups I’ve had at ayce sushi places.

As for the sushi, it looked amazing but I overall wasn’t impressed,I started with the Shrimp tempura roll which was pretty good, not my favorite as it was a little soggy. I then followed up with the Dragon roll, I was impressed by the amount of eel for an ayce place but unfortunately I couldn’t really taste it due to the amount of eel sauce. This roll was also pretty soggy, I think this is due to the more watery consistency of the eel sauce at this restaurant. Which is also unfortunate. I honestly didn’t really want to finish this roll but the $.75 per piece left over rule was pretty convincing. Next I had the Ahi tuna crunch roll which was not as spicy as I feared when I saw all the spicy mayo, which I personally liked. I will say the crunch was a little stale but other than that it was good. Lastly I had the Rainbow roll, the fish slices were thick but not cut well. I had to physical rip the tuna and the salmon apart as they didn’t fully cut the fish. The fish was also not the best quality, which is to be expected to a degree but this fish just didn’t taste the best.

This place is a rare instance where I wasn’t crazy about any of the sushi. The portions were good but the quality control just wasn’t what I was hoping for. This restaurant also seems to have an affinity for asparagus in their rolls which I’m not a huge fan of and did limit my menu options. Overall I probably wouldn’t stop here again on a roadtrip but I can see why it would be so popular with locals.
I’d rate this place a 3.3 out of 5

Great concept. The person dining can order from the menu, or off of the All-you-can eat Sush $29.95 Good & fresh. We both had the All-you-can Sushi. There is a $.75 charge for each piece (of sushi roll) that you are unable to finish.

I love this place! Certainly 5 star sushi for the midwest. All-you-can-eat is great and worth it if you’re looking to indulge. Service is quick even though it’s typically busy at peak hours. Snow white rolls is one of my favorites, their sweet potato based specialty roll is actually quite good as well.

Good food marred by horrible service. My wife and I were seated for an hour and a half and our waitress Lea did not offer to refill drinks, ask if we liked our food, or really interact with us at all outside of taking our plates. On top of this, we found a large black hair in our crab rangoons, but she took the plate so fast and then promptly ignored us that we didn’t even get to communicate this. 3 of the 4 rolls I got were good, but I also received my food almost exactly 30 minutes after my wife. Not a pleasant Valentine’s Day experience. Sushi Mido used to be great, but we will not be back!
