Reviews
The sushi masa roll was very refreshing and enjoyable with lots of avocado and masago on top of the great fish trio. The barbeque eel in sweet honeymoon roll is very rich in super savory flavor. My favorite, the dynamite roll, blew me away. Such a simple roll but with so much flavor. The best part is that the sushi fish is left in big pieces rather than being minced.
I can’t wait to go back and continue sampling the phenomenal food!
The service was out of this world and the staff was so friendly! I wish I’d had time for a sit-down meal but I’ll be sure to make time during my next visit. Looking forward to trying more of their menu and seeing what’s up with some of those sushi selections.
I wish them well and hope they continue to prosper!
As someone who eats sushi at least once a month and who has been to Japan, I don’t say this lightly: this place is phenomenal.
The fish tastes incredibly fresh, clean, and buttery in a way that immediately reminds you what sushi is supposed to be. There’s no hiding behind heavy sauces or overloaded specialty rolls. Just simple rolls done right. Excellent rice, perfectly seasoned and textured, paired with high-quality fish. That simplicity is what makes it special. When the fundamentals are that good, you don’t need anything else.
We actually lucked out getting in. We didn’t have a reservation (rookie mistake), but someone had just canceled and we were able to grab their spot. After eating there, I completely understand why you should probably make a reservation.
The staff made the entire experience even better. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about what they’re serving and about the experience they’re creating.
The atmosphere inside is calm and warm. It’s a semi-small spot, which adds to the charm. Even though it’s intimate, it never felt cramped, and we could comfortably have a conversation at our table without shouting over noise.
This is officially my new go-to sushi spot. I already can’t wait to go back and work my way through more of their menu. If you appreciate simple, authentic sushi made with care and quality ingredients, Sushi Masa is an absolute must-go.
My all-time favorite sushi restaurant in Greenville! This place is as authentic as you could hope to find—fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared rolls, and a menu that balances creativity with tradition. Every bite feels like it was made with care.
The staff here are absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready to make recommendations that hit the mark. Whether you’re a sushi veteran or trying it for the first time, they make you feel welcome and at home.
And it’s not just the sushi—don’t miss their authentic noodle dishes! From rich, comforting ramen to flavorful udon, each bowl has that homemade depth that reminds you of true Japanese cooking.
From the sashimi to specialty rolls to their noodle bowls, everything is consistently top-notch. The atmosphere is relaxed but refined, making it the perfect spot for date night, dinner with friends, or just treating yourself.
If you’re in Greenville and craving authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place. Easily the best in town.
