This is THE new sushi spot in OM! Every time I visit here I try something new and am absolutely blown away. I will regularly go out of my way to dine here. The service is rapid and always very welcoming. The decor is cute as well, but the food stands out. Everything is always perfect regardless of whether you dine in or carry out!

Hey now! Great day to you. So I came to Sushi Kumo after looking them up and seeing that they’ve recently open. Instead of ordering for pickup, I decided to sit-it, and I’m SO glad I did. Yall…the presentation alone was magnificent! I sincerely hope they continue this past the honeymoon phase of opening because it’s one of the small-but-mindful elements of dining that is now a dying art.
I had the LUNCH SPECIAL SUSHI & SASHIMI, which is 3PCS SUSHI, 4PCS SASHIMI and a SPICY TUNA ROLL. It came with an ONION SOUP, which tasted like Home. I felt so comforted by its simple yet complex taste. I almost wanted to have a second helping, but I knew the rest of lunch was on the way; and it was All. So. Delicious!!! The quality of the fish was exceptional and the rice was the perfect consistency for the sushi and the roll. The GINGER and WASABI were fresh as well, which can go under the radar if one’s not paying attention. Did I mention the presentation? Lunch was set in a garden under a blossoming tree. It was gorgeous.
I also had a SEAWEED SALAD and it was just like I love it; fresh, crunchy and nourishing. It even sat on a bed of lettuce, which I found to be adorable. I finished with a HOT GREEN TEA to seal the deal and I was all smiles. I’m excited to return, and I hope to see you there! If you do go, tell em Donny pointed the way. And if you see me having my full of a sushi roll or few, don’t just stand there and stare; come by, say hi and let me know what you’re having, I might get it too. Happy Eating!

I’ve been here three times. The food is mostly great. I’ll definitely come back. The eel roll, shrimp tempura, soup and gyoza all are great. Here’s what I didn’t like; the spring rolls were crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The green dragon roll has a lot of shells in the crab. The hibachi is average.
