Very intimate restaurant with only a limited number of seats at the bar, where you see the team prepping the wonderful and so tasteful sushi.
They were all so great, so that it’s impossible to choose you’re favourite…… although the scallops with foie gras and the Wagyu beef with truffle were definitely a few to remember.

We had the 18 course omakase last night and every bite was delectable. Perfectly balanced, seasoned and presented. A truly wonderful meal! Service was great, restaurant was beautifully decorated too. Love that this is right in my neighborhood, off the main Broadway drag.

Absolutely wonderful small Omakase restaurant. Reservation needed for this counter only Omakase experience. Sushi was fantastic at this price point.

Absolutely delicious sushi – we have had the 18 course omakase twice now. Every piece was delectable and fantastic. It’s really interesting watching the chefs prepared the fish. Their sake choices are really good as well. My only complaint is that the experience feels a bit rushed – and hour and half would be more appropriate – and the decor/ambiance is almost non-existent (some art on the walls or plants would go a long way in warming it up a bit). However these are small niggles and should not dissuade anyone from going to this restaurant which is top notch.

I had the 18-course omakase at Sushi Koya and it was absolutely amazing! Every single dish was excellent, fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a top-notch omakase experience in NYC!

Incredible omakase spot! Celebrated a birthday dinner here at the counter and the chefs were amazing. Great attention to detail and everything was delicious. BYOB and the service was great, they chilled our bottles and poured for us. Also very affordable! 13 course was wonderful but I want to try the 18 next!!! Couldn’t get enough

This was absolutely fantastic- one of the best meals we have ever had. Amazing to watch the chefs at work – a real masterclass. They also took the time to explain each to us and we had lots of questions. Every dish of 18 was different and absolutely divine. The service was really great. It was a lovely touch having the free sake. And finally it felt incredibly good value. I will 100% come again when we come back to NYC. Thank you Sushi Koya!!

I came here with a group of 6 before a show at Lincoln Center. We all did the 13 course omakase. The interior is very small and intimate; there is no real decor to speak of. The service is well paced and it’s always a treat to watch food prepared in front of you. The only down side to this place is that it is BYOB. But on the plus side, there is no corkage fee. The fish is super fresh and the taste is great. I left still hungry, which wasn’t great. The price is very reasonable.

What an absolute delight. I truly enjoyed the service, the selection of food, and the atmosphere.
It is best to reserve your spot as the space is limited and seems to serve a group at one time. It’s likely about 12 seating total in the whole restaurant.
My favorite piece was the wagyu with uni nigiri ($20).
Portion sizes are very small. I felt very satisfied, but I understand that many would not be.
This is a place that I will go to again.
