I haven’t been in awhile and decided to go back last week. I always get their crispy salmon tempura roll. It was delicious but I noticed their rolls are a lot smaller in size now. I’ll share 2 pics for comparison, although I didn’t get a good pic from the recent visit. Use to fill me up but 1 roll is not enough anymore. This was at coors and eagle ranch

I was highly disappointed yesterday. My wife and I eat here often, always do the all you can eat. I’ve also taken my best friend and her family before. We have never been charged gratuity for a large party for 3 people. Yesterday I went in with my wife, my friend, her boyfriend and his baby. Only 3 of us were going to eat as the baby and my friend were not hungry. We were told we couldn’t do all you can eat it had to be the whole table. Which wasn’t listed anywhere. We agreed and just ordered 4 rolls and two appetizers. Again only 3 people ate, and the baby had 5 pieces of edamame. When the ticket came she brought the machine over to charge us. We asked for the ticket and she said we would get it after. We selected no tip as we were going to leave cash. We gave the waitress the cash tip, she left a receipt and we saw she already gave herself a 20% tip for a large party on top of accepting the cash knowing we had no idea. Which is crazy, as I have been there with a large party and never been charged gratuity ahead of time. I was also upset she could have mentioned something . We won’t be returning, which is so sad as we come in 2-3 times a month.

Went in on January 5th, 2026.I came alone and was sat and waited on by a 20-something year old, brown hair and a big nose ring. She was very sweet. Very kind. However her complete lack of communication and ability to serve my table often far overshadowed her being nice. I ordered the All You Can Eat, and usually The staff checks up on you pretty frequently, but for some reason 20-30 minutes would go by without any contact from my server. She brought me the wrong food twice, was not writing down my orders properly, rarely checked up on me, never took any of my dirty dishes away (they just piled up on the table with the more food I ordered) and to boot, she never even asked if I wanted more water once through the whole experience. On top of all this, I ordered 4 pieces of Nigiri and then asked for the check, I waited 35 minutes with no food and no check. And when I went up front to ask i was told “They dont know what im talking about, so it must not be true.”

10 years ago, under the old management (owners) this place was top-notch and the staff put love and heart into the service and food. This Westside Sushi King is and has been my favorite eating spot for well over a decade. And in recent months, it seems like the quality of staff and service has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY. So much so, Im not sure I even want to go back. If I do, I can only pray it gets better, because it cant get much worse.

Great spot for sushi on the Westside! The fish was fresh, the rolls were well-made, and everything tasted amazing. There’s a good variety on the menu, whether you like classic rolls or more creative options. The portions are solid and definitely worth the price.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly even when it was busy. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice place to eat with friends or family. If you’re looking for consistently good sushi in Albuquerque, Sushi King Westside is a spot I’d gladly recommend and return to.

Went on Friday evening. Very busy but still avle to sit within 5 minutes of arriving. Service was good for how busy they were. Very attentive and responsive. Food was great. Rolls were large and very well seasoned. Nigiri was very neat and tasty.

We came in and sat down, and no one greeted us. Even if they were busy, we would have appreciated someone saying, “We’ll be with you shortly.”
After waiting for quite a while without anyone acknowledging us, another customer walked up to the register and was helped right away. I asked if we were supposed to order at the counter or if it was first come, first served, since we had arrived and were seated first.
I don’t understand how, after we had already been waiting with no greeting or explanation, we were told she would be helped first even though she arrived after us and that we would be helped later.

The sushi is really well done and always meets the mark but the service here can be hit or miss. I wish they had a better system to make customers feel taken care of while having a meal. Servers were talking so long in the front corner they never came around to check on us and bring the bill which was a bit frustrating. They were friendly just not very interested in working.

We are new to the area and have been trying to find a sushi place we really loved and I think we have found it! The sushi was fresh and came out super quick! They are a little more expensive than other sushi restaurants, but it’s worth it!

It was a slow night but the staff was watching us like hawks and clearly didn’t want to be there… It made it awkward and uncomfortable. The rolls were more pricey than I’ve gotten at other places and were not as filing as other sushi rolls I’ve had. They were good though! We were about to order more rolls since we weren’t full yet but instead was handed the check without having been ask if we were good to go. It’s unfortunate we had such a bad experience with the staff and portion sizes since it’s so close to our house…

Usually my favorite sushi place but quality seems to have gone down. I asked for a new mexico roll with extra spicy mayo on the side. My fault for not checking in the restaurant but got a cali roll (im allergic) with no mayo. When I called to see if we could switch them out or if I could get a NM roll in the future, I was immediately told I was wrong. Okay, I understand maybe I am wrong but thats just not good costumer service. I didnt even have the chance to explain my allergy but not worth the $18 for the quality and service. Tables and seating was also a bit messy.
