Had an EXCELLENT experience here with some friends. The sushi was delicious, and we got so many different types. The crab rangoons are some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and came out in a timely manner. I love that it’s all you can eat. The servers were so friendly. Can’t wait to come back and tryore sushi!

I brought my daughter here for the all you can eat lunch. The food was amazing, customer service was great and the place was very clean. I had read some of the reviews but it seems like the bad ones were just impatient and grumpy people. We had a great experience and the price was excellent for what you get. We will definitely go back!

Overall I give Sushi King on little creek 4 ⭐️.
We used to go to the Sushi King in downtown Norfolk (pre Covid) and enjoyed it but changes were made and haven’t gone go back.
We went to Sushi King on Little Creek maybe 2x around 2016? Or 2017? Whenever they first opened and it was not good at all. Like BAD. Since under new management it has greatly improved.
The amount of options for the price is incredible (5 stars for bang for your buck). I had 2 sushi rolls, plus some other pieces of sushi with appetizers. One of the rolls (orchard roll) had a wasabi cream sauce that tasted too sweet. The rolls do have a good rice to fish ratio. Most all you can eat places have too much rice in the roll. (I forgot to take photos on the food). What you get for the price is just amazing. The sushi doesn’t taste super duper fresh, more along the lines of grocery store sushi.
The other members of my party had hibachi streak, chicken katsu, miso soup and some sushi rolls. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
We were a party of 6 and where we sat was a bit tight with other parties in the booths going to the salad bar and ice cream and a robot moving around, made it all a bit uncomfortable.
Overall it was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed it.
Edit: and we’re back. Two days later. My boys really enjoyed it and wanted to come back. I had hibachi shrimp, and dynamite roll and it was delicious. Our server, Aiza was fantastic!!

We stopped in on the way to Spirit Halloween and were so surprised at this gem! The food, price and atmosphere were perfect for lunch. We ordered spicy tuna rolls, tuna sushi, scallop hibachi, Gouda dumplings, chicken katsu, crab Rangoon. All were freshly made and yummy! There’s a robot delivery service and the music was perfectly nostalgic. The portions are on the smaller side but the service is fast. We are adding this to the rotation!!

I’m a firm believer of “two rolls is never enough” when it comes to sushi, so i eat at sushi king a lot. This one is by far my favorite. They have Mountain Dew (which is one of my only favorite fountain drinks), their service is quick and kind, and if you’re a member of the military they will give you a discount with an id.
I love this location. I live in Virginia Beach and will literally travel 25 minutes when there’s one 10 minutes away because this one is so much better.

We went for lunch, and it is definitely not the same as dinner. We were told we only had till 3 pm to eat. we got there at 2 pm. The salad bar was nasty. The lettuce was old, and it took forever for our food to come out. We felt like they were doing that, so we would have to pay dinner prices. Better off going to Volcano on 21st street.

I will never go back ever again couldn’t pay me enough my first visit in 2024 was amazing I thought I found a new spot came back in 2025 and got yelled at by a server because I didn’t know what to do with the robot that comes to your table it had two trays on it and wasn’t sure which one to take as they had identical things on them then my second time was today 1-6-2026 and hoped 3rd time was a charm but nope I was seated and I wrote in my notepad to ask to be moved due to the fact to lady customers behind me used to much old spice and champagne toast bath body works perfume to the point it was causing my nose and throat to burn a bit and I would smell it in my mouth while eating the lady read the note and got loud and said the restaurant is the one who sprayed because they have a homeless man on the other side of the wall far away from me who has a smell but I shouldn’t smell it where I’m sitting when false because I didn’t smell nothing till the two people sat behind me then while she was yelling at me with attitude another couple sat behind my husband and was coughing to the point she was sniffling and her husband and her even had a strong sent you can smell it cause the lady hair was wet and said how she loved her near Christmas smell goods I asked quietly in a notepad and said please and thank you I just wanted to be moved two seats down not far at all but she rolled her eyes and got jazzy with me and said I don’t care I guess sit where you want then
We cleaned our table and moved all our things over to the next so I don’t see what the big issue was considering we didn’t even eat at the original table we just sat there with our drinks because we also had to wait 15-25 minutes on just food to come out after she yelled at me the food was gross so much eel sauce on my sushi that’s all you tasted and seaweed was rubbery and the steak hibachi was greasy and tough I couldn’t chew it for nothing so there for we got our check and left didn’t order anything else not even dessert

This Sushi King is absolutely wonderful. The food is amazing and the service is top tier. Every server is so kind and easy to communicate with. Note for the owners: Please don’t listen to the negative reviews. Everything here is amazing and tell the servers and chefs to keep up the great work.

They did all but just ask me to leave. It was an hour before they were closing when I went in. At the door, the staff told me they close in an hour. I told her it wouldn’t take me that long to have a roll. When seated in the huge empty space, the waitress greeted me. She seemed flustered. I ordered a sake, and already knew what I wanted. When I told her, she ALSO told me they closed in an hour. I felt so unwelcomed I left. I didn’t get to try their food because they were in a rush to leave work at 3 PM. I would think, as empty as a space it was, they’d want the business. I guess it’s a chain, so they don’t care.
I learned my lesson and won’t go back there…

Large AYCE sushi restaurant. I had to do a double take, I thought this was the same chain of similar restaurants in New Jersey. Sadly the sushi the King gets is nowhere as good as what his kingdom is eating. It looks like a converted Chinese buffet, and oddly enough they still have a self serve salad bar. The sushi itself is made to order. From the get go something was off with the sushi. Nothing tasted right, like it was old but not rotten. I’m never expecting fish flown in from Tsukiji at a buffet unless I’m in Vegas, but this was worse than the supermarket. Immediately I knew something was wrong, and why I kept eating I don’t know. Maybe I just wanted to play with their robot? I ordered my usual assortment, spicy salmon, a tempura shrimp roll and some of their special rolls. They didn’t have mackerel so I had escolar and red snapper nigiri. Again didn’t enjoy it, not sure why I forced myself to eat it. I came towards the end of lunch on Monday, I should’ve applied Bourdain’s no fish on Mondays rule. It was fairly empty given I came an hour or so before their lunch/dinner change over. That could be an issue if this location isn’t getting enough traffic to keep their stock rotating. My local friend said she ate at another local and it was ok.
