This is my favorite sushi spot in the area! I do think quality has gone down just ever so slightly in the last 1-2 yrs but price point and deliciousness still surpasses all others in the area. Typical lunch specials but even ordering rolls separately is reasonably priced. Sushi rolls always taste fresh! I am obsesssssed with their veg fried rice/hibachi fried rice. The hibachi noodles are good but not my fav. The iced Thai tea is also a pleasant surprise at a sushi spot but one of our favorite dessert treats! We order from here pretty consistently and never have any complaints or errors in our order. Most recently sat for dine in which was fine but not especially memorable in terms of ambiance. Will definitely continue to eat @ Sushi House!

I ordered Hibachi take out, when I went in to pick it up, I was greeted with a smile, the resteraunt was clean and very cute inside. The food was delish! We’re definitely ordering again!

The Sushi rolls were good and filling. Many options available, we did pick up the food and ate it at home, but it was still warm and fresh tasting. The rolls were bigger than I expected for a lunch special.

We got take out from sushi House on a Tuesday. May be that was a wrong decision!! The fish was not fresh, you can tell just by looking at them. The tuna roll had a smell which made it almost impossible to eat. I threw out half of them. Me and my son actually had upset stomach the next day. We really wanted to find another decent sushi place in Poughkeepsie, our favorite is bonsai by Starbucks. I guess we will stick to that!

A hidden Jewel. After being open for two years, the restaurant’s cleanliness is exemplary. The fish is fresh, the avocados are always ripe, the rice is the perfect temperature, and the artful presentation has a sense of pride. All of the simplest elements of sushi are executed to the highest level. Ashley pours a fresh green tea, and has a great humor to her service. Every time I visit Poughkeepsie I will come back.

Can’t believe I’ve never visited Sushi House before. The sushi, service vibes and prices were all great. The hot saki is the best of all our local sushi haunts. And so is the miso soup. Will be back.
