Hana is an absolute gem for sushi lovers. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the signature rolls are beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend the sashimi platter if you want a true culinary experience. I will definitely be coming back!

This place is so unassuming and I’ve driven by it many times. A friend suggested we go here after being told it was good, so we gave it a shot. I’ve been to all of the well-known sushi places here, but somehow this one skipped my mind for too long.

First, it is very cute inside. They really went out of their way with the decor to make it feel kind of like popped out of Japan, but it doesn’t feel cheesy. It is fairly small inside and you have to deal with the parking off of Gravois, but we didn’t have trouble finding a seat or anything.

The servers are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I believe the man who was helping us was named Justin (I apologize, it’s been a bit) and you could just tell how excited he was about all of it. He recommended a few things, but I did specifically want to talk about the salmon skin roll.

He talked a bit about how they handled that differently than many places and if you ever had that anywhere else, you will know that he’s telling the truth. It’s exceptional here, almost like an entire entirely different food than anywhere else I’ve had in this city.

Everything else we had was wonderful. The prices I would say are pretty middle of the road when it comes to sushi, which is honestly a compliment for the quality.

Definitely check the place out.

If you’re looking for top-notch sushi with the friendliest owners in St. Louis, look no further than Sushi Hana in Affton! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth by the owners, who run the place with incredible passion and energy. They truly make you feel like family, and their dedication shines through in every single detail.

The sushi itself is always incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor—you can tell they put so much care into each piece, never cutting corners. Whether it’s a classic roll or a special, everything is made with precision and artistry. It’s a cozy, cute spot with a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for a date night or just a fantastic meal out. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you; this is a true hidden gem and my go-to spot for amazing sushi and unbeatable service. Highly, highly recommend!

Sushi Hana was such a pleasant surprise. The first thing I noticed was how healthy and well-taken-care-of all the plants were, it gives the whole place a really fresh, calming vibe. The restaurant itself is pretty standard in layout, but the décor is super cool and adds a lot of personality.

The food is affordable and tastes incredibly fresh. The veggies were fresh fresh, and the fish was just as impressive. Presentation was definitely A+, every dish looked beautiful. Our server was extremely nice and took great care of us the entire time, which made the experience even better.

One small note: the parking situation can be a bit annoying since you park facing against the street. I’m not sure how busy that street gets during the day, but it could be a hassle depending on the time.

Overall, though, this has been the best sushi experience I’ve had in STL. Highly recommend!

My family and I had an amazing dining experience at this sushi restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and fast. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, especially with our little one which we truly appreciated.

The sushi was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. We also loved the drink menu, which had a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Every drink we tried was delicious and perfectly paired with our meal.

If you’re looking for a spot with great food, fantastic service, and a family-friendly vibe, this is it! We’ll definitely be back soon.”

Party of 3, eating lunch. Quaint little place easy to miss. My daughter has been here before and my wife loves Sushi.
My wife and daughter had the salad and shared a California roll, Shrimp Tempura and Caterpillar roll.
We all shared a bowl of Edamame beans.
I had the lunch Yaki Soba Shrimp.
The girls loved the Sushi and salad.
My Soba was slightly above average. The only item that wasn’t excellent.
We’d all highly recommend! . MVP

Cute little sushi place with very friendly and knowledgeable servers. Hana offers daily specials and very fresh sushi. Not a very large place, so prob a good idea to call for reservations. Also not much parking but definitely worth a visit for some of the freshest sushi in STL!

Nice little sushi restaurant with sushi boats at reasonable prices. The wait can be a bit long during peak dinner hours and service can be a bit slow then as well, but overall food was decent and waiter was nice. I would recommend for small groups and max 6.
