Happily surprised by this spot just beyond my usual parts of the city. I’ve gone out of my way for pickup, take out, and to dine in at Sushi Hana. The price value, while not cheap, is the most effective I’ve found in the city cause you get solid portions of fresh, quality fish that is handled with delicate care.
They have a few creative, non traditional rolls that my partner enjoys. I usually only get sashimi or the chirashi. When we dine in, I’ll check if they have any specials like ankimo
Inside it feels like most staged sushi houses. There’s a particular type of decor and glassy feel to the interior. Everything is always clean and comfortable.
My only complaint is I wish the house salad dressing had a stronger base of soy/ginger and a little less orange/sesame oil.

The food was excellent. The service was quite slow considering they were not very busy

We picked up dinner from Sushi Hana tonight, and honestly, it was a complete disaster. I guess the only thing safe to order there from our experience is sushi — because everything else was terrible.
We ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki, and both dishes were a huge disappointment. The chicken was barely cooked and completely tasteless. The beef was even worse… it was literally unchewable. You’d need a meat grinder to get through that thing.
This was definitely a lesson learned. If we ever go back, it will be for sushi only. Maybe. But the rest of the food? Never again.

Very disappointed. Haven’t been here in years. They must have changed chefs. The food was absolutely terrible. Got the beef teriyaki and couldn’t eat it. The beef was tough and hard to chew. My salad was put in with my hot food which made it warm. The black spider roll had little to no crab and was mostly shell and tempura. I will not be coming back.

My previous experience with sushi Hana was positive but recently it started getting worse…that’s how my sushi looked like this time

Average quality sushi place. Most rolls are based on crab-stick, spicy tuna, or shrimp tempura. Goyza seemed like it was frozen store bought. I ordered a pitcher of hot sake thinking it was going to be a carafe and it was a literal pitcher. Kind of weird and the sake got cold fast.

The Maryland roll is very gritty, the spider roll is the worst we have ever tried, and the fried crab wonton should be under dessert. The crab wanton was basically covered in sugar on the outside, and is truly disgusting. After having the crab Rangoon in the Towson sushi hana, I was NOT expecting to be blown away by a dessert worse than a stale ice cream cone. Will NEVER order here again.
Eel Roll was decent, the best roll was the avocado roll. Don’t order here.

First time there and it was super good. Had the shitake miso soup, salmon, spicy scallop and the crispy mango roll. All excellent. Service was great too. Definitely will go back. Note: roll menu does not have prices so if you are worried just ask. I’m sure they will tell you.
