Very agreeable pricing (especially during happy hours) and a nice family feel. Great for a quiet night. Haven’t had an item I was not impressed with.

I have been going here for over 10 years, amazing sushi and best prices in town. The chef on the other hand is not so friendly. Only rare groups of people he greets, not regular customers. The past 12 months their quality and service has gone downhill. Recently changed their happy hour from 8 to 7:30, the waitress gave us the happy hour menu after we asked for it, told us since we didn’t know it changed she would do the happy hour price. After waiting an hour, he put all the food away and went to the back. Lots of arguing and yelling, assuming it was because she gave us the happy hour price. We asked the waitress where everything went, she said “he’s making it in the back, it’s chaos”. Waitress agreed she would not return to the restaurant. So unfortunate.

Good place for Sushi. I have never been disappointed by quality, and the price is lower than many that serve lower quality sushi. Love the asparagus roll. Small place, shares building (and bathroom) with Chinese place next door. No fancy decor, and basic atmosphere.

The sushi at Sushi Hama was better than normal. The service was good. The place itself smelt a little like sewage which was kind of gross. And unfortunately when we went to the restaurant there were children screaming and trying to climb the fish tank. This was of no fault of the restaurants, but it definitely didn’t make my experience there any better. I would like to try the restaurant out again and hopefully have a more pleasant time. Again I would like to but it definitely didn’t make my experience there any better. I would like to try the restaurant out again and hopefully have a more pleasant time. Again I would like to reaffirm that the food was good and the service was also good.

Food is always good, service is always ok. Prices on the low end of high. Moderately priced for sushi in Albuquerque. I eat here a lot because it’s convenient, and I’ve never had a bad experience.

I LOVE this place! I see all these bad reviews and i think they need to give this place another chance. Yes, there is only 1 server because its family owned, but she is very nice and does her best to get to everyone in the restaurant. As a server myself (who also works as the only server at a sushi place), it is difficult to serve many people at once. I go for mainly the sushi, and it is the best! The salmon is my favorite. People who go in for “teryaki” or “california rolls” are going to always be disappointed at any restaurant because restaurants like this focus on actual authentic food. So go in and try something new and delicious! (:

I wasn’t impressed. small hole in the wall, felt like I was at a laundry mat. Lunch specials were bla, and waitress was less then accomodating. Sushi roll was mostly rice. Sushiya on Juan Tabo has a better antmosphere, pleasant staff, and reasonable prices more importantly the sushi is great and the lunch specials are good and bonito plates are great.

I recommend Sushi-Hama to those who come to enjoy the SUSHI and aren’t concerned with overpaying for their trendy surroundings. What I love about Sushi-Hama is the fact that it is a little hole-in-the-wall. You won’t be disturbed by the other diners, and you won’t be broke when you leave. You will be full of high quality sushi made by one master sushi chef who works there every day (I don’t know his name, unfortunately). If this sounds like your kind of joint, I highly recommend it. My husband and I won’t go anywhere else.

Regular patron here. Always consistently good sushi, best prices during happy hour, quiet and intimate ambience. Great hole in the wall that’s been operating forever!
