Really awesome atmosphere and great selection of Japanese food. Waiter is super friendly and helped us and was very attentive. This was our second time coming here for a very special occasion and was well worth it. Highly recommend.

This restaurant offers amazing sushi. The menu appears simple, but there are nuances to all the selections. The dishes are exciting and extraordinarily delicious and I eat a lot of sushi. Their sushi chefs work quickly to create fabulous dishes. The relaxed atmosphere is great for a special date night. And even though I was perfectly satisfied at the end of the main meal, I had to try a dessert – great lava cake.

The place was beautiful! The staff are all so nice and helpful, smiles everywhere 🙂
I tried the omakase experience, Chef Michael was absolutely amazing! All of the courses from starters to dessert were both tasted & looked wonderful, he slowly explained and moving on to the next course on my own pace, and can adjust for any allergies too. highly recommend!

This is a gorgeous new restaurant that has opened on the UES and I highly recommend you go check it out.

Ambiance: The whole set up is gorgeous. When you walk in, there is a brightly lit hallway, feels futuristic. Once you’re inside they’ve created this vibe of indoor garden. They even have a nice fireplace. They have these really nice skylights above their back bar and back dining area so you can get natural light. The whole set up makes the place feel fancy and yet comfortable.

Food: We got the spicy cucumber and vegetable gyozas for appetizers. They cucumber sauce was so good, we ended up keeping it for the rest of our feel. The little crunch on top of the cucumber was also such a nice mix. It tasted like a fresh and well seasoned appetizer. The gyozas were also really good. They came out really hot and didn’t feel oily. The stuffing inside was a nice combination of different vegetables.
As our main course we shared their vegetarian platter. It came with 9 different sushi bites and 8 pieces of the avocado cucumber roll. All the pieces were delicious and I liked how they created different flavor combinations.

Service: Service was great. They were quick to seat us and take our order when we were ready. Food came out at a nice pace. Water glasses were filled quickly.

Price: For NYC standards, I find this place to be very reasonably priced especially considering the portion sizes. We paid less than $50/person for our whole meal.

I wish I could give the service more than 5 stars! Came here to celebrate a birthday and the sushi was delicious! I would definitely recommend the Rainbow Maki. The hostess was super sweet and accommodating. They did such a special celebration for my girlfriend and were so hospitable the entire evening. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again!

Ritzy Sushi spot with eye pleasing decor that exudes an upper end dining experience. However, the quality for price of food falls short of what you would expect (aside from the apps which are all great). Probably best served to hit their affordable happy hour. $15 a roll. 3.5/5 stars as a dinner spot.

No… Impossible to get a reservation … Place was EMPTY! Should be… Go to take a fun photo by the door, eat someplace else. Food was disappointing to say the least! Overpriced… (drinks at bar were great… Service there sucked, not because they were busy, they weren’t.)

Food was good. But the cocktails were great!
There were a lot of young kids, like children which made it way too noisy.
