Unbelievably fresh thick cut sushi! And great service?!! Wow!!! Jane and another waitress took care of the entire room with ease! Treating every table like it was their only table! That’s how I felt, I watched the place quickly fill up for lunch and I gotta start by saying Jane really shined with her service. I am a sashimi guy, and I hate when I’m charged high prices for skinny see through sushi. This place cuts them thick, for a great price! The beer options were good, 1.99$ for a sake bomb!!! Whaaaat! The chef’s even customized a roll for me, my favorite roll has the lemon and Cilantro on top of salmon. I am so excited I checked this place out because I will now have a dope place to enjoy after church on Sundays! Tap in to the daily specials!

This spot has decent sushi, I liked the flavors & freshness of the food. We had teriyaki chicken bowl, it was a nice flavor not too sweet & the chicken was nicely charred & grilled I had the nasty city sushi It has hot cheetos crumbled on top! I just had to try it! It was a fun sushi & and delicious. I ate all of it! It’s definitely an awesome way to be added to the community! The service, though, was a little awkward, very quiet, not so welcoming. However, it wasn’t a rude either, just very “whatever.” What I really appreciate it , is how clean everything was!

Randomly found this place and since they got good Google Reviews, we gave them a chance. Staff were efficient, but definitely could have been more welcoming and friendly. The restaurant had more of a “let’s go get drunk and eat sushi” rather than “let’s have a family dinner” type of vibe. There was a table with three men who were drinking, generally being loud and slightly obnoxious which I think added to our perceived vibe.

The things we ordered:
Chicken teriyaki bowl – teriyaki sauce was well balanced. The chicken had a nice char but still juicy.

Jalapeño bomb roll – expected this roll to be spicy, but it wasn’t and it was difficult to eat because the rolls were large

Lobster crunch roll – the lobster was tasty, but the roll was plain.

Rainbow roll – tasted ok, but seafood could have been fresher.

Mixed tempura – perfectly cooked and delicious

Seasoned fries – crispy and well seasoned

We paid $93.96 (with tip) which is very reasonable, but considering the food and vibe, we won’t be making a return visit.

This is my go-to place in South Bay for a delicious bento box at an incredible price. The staff is friendly, it is appropriately decorated, and the place is clean. There is plenty of parking space and you’re attended to right away, even when it’s busy.

Let’s start with my favorite, which are the lunchtime bentos. Not only do you get a miso to start things off, but the box itself comes with tempura, salad, half of a Cali roll, and your entrée as well. It’s a lot of food, and all for under $10 (as of this review). The portions are serious, I know a few other places that I enjoy as well where they don’t give you nearly as much meat as they do here.

When I’m in the mood for something different, I’ve had their ramen, which is also tasty. I’ve had the rainbow roll, the eel roll, the red dragon roll, and the Duncan’s roll. All of them were delightful and tasted fresh.

There aren’t a lot of sushi options in the area, and when that happens restaurants sometimes get away with mediocrity. Not this place. Come and try it out and you’ll see what I mean.

The food tasted great. Place is a little small so seating could be a bit tough and parking is a little tight. Our service was just ok, nothing above and beyond, it was a decent spot.

This place used to be George’s Bakery from back in the day. I was excited to see a new sushi place in the area. It has spacious seating and entertainment playing on several TVs while you eat. The prices are very good for a sushi spot and the food is fresh. I would recommend trying this local place if you’re looking for a new place to eat sushi.

Excellent! We had a poke salmon tuna bowl , hamachi kama, fried blue crab and chirashi bowl. The place has grown from when it first opened years ago. Prices great too! We will be back again.

One of the best sushi experiences in National City.

The non-traditional rolls and happy hour are worth the trip.

4/5 stars because I’ve only been there once.
