This is my go-to sushi spot near SDSU. I’ve been here over 20 times. It’s always packed with college students, and for good reason. The service is consistently friendly and fast.

The sushi here is much better than what you’ll find further west. This area has some of the best. Their rolls are creative, and they really load up the Crunch Roll. The garlic edamame and miso soup are always solid, and the carpaccio sashimi is surprisingly high quality. You can tell the fish is fresh.

A typical tab for 3 to 4 rolls and edamame runs about $70 before tip. Even though I’ve moved over 20 minutes away, I still find myself coming back.

Food was pretty good, not super impressive but good enough. The only issue I have was the sashimi didn’t look too good (didn’t take a photo), and the entire restaurant smelled a bit weird. Also, we were there from 11 to 1215pm, didn’t see any other customer, just a bit weird too

The staff was very kind and the sushi was really good and worth the price! It wasn’t very busy when I went in and the food came out fairly quickly. Very very tasty

Went for the first time the other day, not normally a fan of sushi but the sushi was Delicious, prepared and cut well, Miles and Hannah were our servers and gave us great customer service and very attentive. Good atmosphere and music, glad the sushi place wasn’t complicated ordering and had clear rules unlike other sushi places. Every item we had was delicious ,warm and had good flavor Hannah and Miles need a raise they were awesome!

I love sushi here, they give you free water, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice, the place is pretty clean, only suggestion is that I wish they will give bigger sushi portions

I ordered 3 sushi rolls and I only got 1 tiny container with ginger, even tho I requested to get plenty of ginger because my order was going to be shared with 2 other people. Also, I ordered the baked salmon roll and the salmon is not even cooked. There’s a lot of sauce on top of the rolls which makes it soggy. I’ve tried better places for the price and size of the sushi rolls this place charges. Sorry, I wouldn’t order from this place again

Had the all you can eat/ayce sushi. It was about $37.00 each adult. Had the nigiri, spicy tuna, appetizers, and their milk teas. Love the spicy tuna, the appetizers (takoyaki, cucumber, poke salad, spicy garlic edamame, baked mussels), and their drinks (taro milk tea and Thai milk tea). Ordered the nigir, but too much rice, so not worth ordering the nigiri, unless if you want to get real full. The fish was hanging off the rice, but too much rice. Might go back and order the special rolls instead to try more things. Most things we ordered, we liked, but the best part was the milk teas, LOVE the milk teas. The Taro milk tea had a hint of coconut flavor at the end, which added a special touch to the drink. Would still go back to try more things. Great customer service when we were there (wasn’t that busy though).

I live just up the street from here and can’t believe I’ve never tried it before! Sushi Factory is now my new favorite sushi place! I love the atmosphere and music they plan inside, and Hannah was such a nice and prompt server! Food wasn’t too expensive but still so delicious (try the Padres roll, SO GOOD).

Leaving my original review because this place use to be great. I originally gave Sushi Factory an enthusiastic 5 stars from the times we’ve eaten there in the past. We live far away and don’t visit often but we were so disappointed in the food and service this time. We will never return.

The fish was not high quality and didn’t taste good. The salmon looked really bad. We ended up leaving 2 rolls and 6 salmon nigiri on the table (along with my daughter’s ramen because she was worried to eat it.) None of these things were edible. Possibly the worst sushi we’ve ever had. My daughter wouldn’t eat even her ramen because she became anxious over the quality of the sushi and worries about getting sick.

Their solution to the poor quality food was to remove one roll. We paid over $80 to leave most of our food on the table.

Leaving 2 stars because the spicy garlic edamame was good and my daughter ate the seaweed salad even though it was warm. We did eat a few pieces of yellowtail and tuna nigiri which were not excellent but were far more edible than the salmon and the rolls.

The service was not good, although the server was nice. We didn’t get chopsticks or soy sauce trays until after food was served and we asked for them. Twice for the chopsticks actually.

One final thing, they didn’t have anything except Splenda for the tea. No real sugar or non-artificial option for sweetener at all. This wouldn’t be a deal breaker on its own but it is worth mentioning.

Sad to say, things at this establishment seem to have gone way down hill. We will not return.

Old review :

Hot sake included in the All You Can Eat? I’m down.

Practically the only place in San Diego for all you can eat sushi now thanks to Covid, we had dine in seating in a clean and well spaced restaurant. We had lots of good sushi, my favorites being the French Kiss roll and the Snow Mountain roll. We ate a ton of fish and it was all fresh and delicious. Topped it off with green tea ice cream. Oh, and! The pickled ginger was super thick, very yummy!

The sake was hot and the beer was cold and we will be back!
