TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Very good service and super clean. A little pricier but definitely worth it. I did the mild and it was exactly that I will probably ramp it up the next time. The loaded fries are ridiculously good! Got the large and it made 2 meals for me. Nice atmosphere. Cool music. Will definitely return.

First time trying this!!! My boys had it in Columbus. I went in Oakley branch.
Ordered it online and I saw the cauliflower bites get it in mild heat. The sauce is so good! The cauliflower bites are amazing!!!! My new favorite now!!!!

I had the single tender and my partner had a chicken slider. HOT. And it gave just that! The chicken was an appropriate heat level. Size was decent. I’ll definitely have it again if I just wanted something quick and reliable.

Dave’s Hot Chicken started in 2017 with $900 in a parking lot in California. It has grown to nearly 300 restaurants globally. The location near my house opened a couple of months ago.
Orders are placed at the counter and prepared fresh, so there is a little bit of a wait even when they aren’t busy. The menu is pretty simple, led by their famous chicken tenders, which can be served alone or as a slider sandwich. They also have chicken bites, fries, mac & cheese, and kale slaw to round out the menu. All chicken can be served with no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, or “reaper,” which includes a disclaimer for how hot it truly is.
For my dinner, I ordered Dave’s #3 so that I could sample a variety of the offerings ($13.49). This included a tender served on sliced bread with pickles and a slider served on a potato bun with kale slaw, pickles, and Dave’s sauce. Fries are also included in the meal deal. This was a lot of food! I think next time I might just get the slider meal, as each tender is actually really thick and filling.
I ordered my chicken with hot sauce, and it was pretty dang hot! I tried the tender alone, but found myself dipping it in the side of Dave’s sauce to cool it off some. The slider didn’t feel as hot since it had slaw, pickles, and Dave’s sauce already drizzled on it. I might try the medium heat level next time, or just stick with the slider and the hot sauce.

I went into the restaurant and ordered pick up on October 6 and when I got home, I realize that all of the food that I had was contaminated with hair. I then Called the store and asked to speak to a manager, and I told the manager About all the hair that I have found in my food and she kindly apologize and said that I could come back up there and get my order remade. I then told her that I was not willing to drive the other 25 minutes to get there again, and she then said that she would just process a refund for me. I then told her that was completely fine and waited a couple weeks and I still never received the refund. I then called again today and asked What the refund status was and they told me that I was able to come in and get my refund. I then went to the store and drove the 25 minutes to get my refund when I got there. The manager started to process the refund and told me that I was only able to get $13 back of the $35 that I had spent. I told him that all of the food that I had had hair in it and that I can show him pictures and he said that there was nothing else that he could do only the $13. I did not want to argue anymore so I just left the restaurant with the $13 and I am very unsatisfied with the customer service that I experienced.

This is a pretty good chicken joint the only drawback is they only have a two piece chicken tender dinner they need to have a three-piece chicken dinner with two sides for people who are really hungry and want more than just a snack. There sauce is pretty good along with Real Honey to put on your tenders. I like that they are open late till midnight as well third shift people have some options at the beginning of their shift. They constantly try to close early even turning away paying customers 5-10 mins before close. If they would schedule people maybe till 11:30pm then the employees aren’t trying to rush out the door at 10:59pm

The mini sliders are packed with a lot of flavor. I enjoy getting them at a medium spice level. Their fries are also very tasty. Give it a try if you enjoy spicy chicken!

I had a great experience here. I’m not a slaw person but I just went with it on the slider and it was delicious. Portions were fair in my opinion with how big the tenders are. Fries were well seasoned and loved the Dave’s sauce. Staff was very friendly. Interior was cool and we actually did not have a long wait time for a Sunday evening.
