If you like sushi you have to go here. Best in Denver! Our server was awesome, cocktails were great, and the sushi was absolutely amazing. Very fresh and well balanced. Highly recommend you give them a try.

I have never seen a Japanese restaurant so busy in my life! They have about 100 tables in 2 levels full packed at 8:30pm. About 10-15 sushi chefs working nonstop. Yes you better make a reservation. We got a late reservation but the hosts got us in 40min earlier. The service and food was excellent! There is always a reason when the restaurant is so busy right? We would come back again next time in Denver

We had a reservation at 5pm on a Tuesday night. We wanted to see what the hype was all about and as die hard sushi fans, we were excited. The food wasn’t bad but the service was disappointingly lackluster, and this is not a place we will be returning to. My family and I absolutely did not feel of value at all as guests, almost like our presence was nothing but an inconvenience. They brought our cod appetizer out with a sizeable hair in it (food runners ought to be trained to inspect the dish prior to dropping it, believe me when I say this hair was OBVIOUS) and when we flagged down staff to address the issue, there was absolutely no accountability nor compassion. Our evening was quite literally soiled by a complete lack of attentive and hospitable service, which is an absolute must for a dining experience *allegedly* of caliber.

Definitely make a reservation because Sushi Den and Izakaya Den are well known among locals as top sushi restaurants in Denver. The quality of the fish is always fresh and the service is great. They offer some of the more rare cuts like toro on a regular basis. You will not regret making a reservation here!

Excellent in every way possible minus the reservation, getting a seat part. The food was amazing, fresh and on point. I enjoyed the sashimi, nigiri and rolls so much. Rivals the sushi I had in Korea and Japan. The only roll I didn’t like was the Wagyu. This place is very pricey, so prepare yourself or go there on your company’s dime like I did and have a blast.

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the sushi at this restaurant. My husband is from Japan and vouched this was the best sushi in the United States, hands down. The waitress mentioned that they have a 30 hour window for ingredients and you can absolutely tell the freshness.

Some of the absolute best sushi in Colorado if you can afford it! This has got to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! I say experience because along with the amazing food you pay for the ambiance as well. Lighting upstairs is really cool and the bamboo is a really nice touch. The food is outstanding, with good sized portions of the rolls themselves, you definitely won’t be leaving hungry. The white rice and miso soup are also very good. Luckily we were able to snag a last minute reservation, but typically this restaurant is booked out for weeks in advance, but it never hurts to call if you are feeling spontaneous! This is an expensive place to order sushi and while I’m sure there are cheaper places to get the same thing for, the quality of the ingredients is what really makes this place stand out. Everything is ridiculously fresh, especially for Colorado being a land-locked state. They even have a selection of fish flown in from Japan! The menu changes frequently based on availability of certain fish, so you can keep going back and getting something totally different. Overall I’d give it a 9/10 only reason is I think in some instances it can be a little too pricey and is out of a lot of consumers budgets, and yet they are always packed! A good sign that the food may be overpriced in some areas but in others it beats the competition.

Recommended while in Denver by a friend. So good! Used to drive to Aurora, for all you can eat. The problem was that the quality was going down to keep the price down. Not this place!! Quality is the best way to describe Sushi Den!

I mean, at this point isn’t this place a Denver institution? The best sushi in town. Highly recommend reservations, and if you do, highly recommend the Chef’s Table. You can chat with the sushi chef and learn about what you’re eating. So cool! Everything is absolutely delicious. The chefs are very knowledgeable. I got a piece of chocolate cake and lychee sorbet for my birthday. Thankfully no singing. All in all, a must visit if sushi is your thing. No parking lot, and it’s a busy street, so cab or Lyft would be your best bet. No REAL dress code, but I’d probably say smart casual would be enough.
