Mocktails, very creative specialty rolls.
We ordered gyoza, jalapeño bombs with spicy tune. They make these the right way. Tempura fry jalapeño then load with cream cheese cheese and spicy tuna.
Also ordered “trench coat” and salmon hand roll.
We started with sweet potato fries, which came out quickly. Then we ordered three rolls of vegan sushi and some baos. As vegetarians, we appreciated that they had decent plant-based options with tofu. But despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was really slow. The baos took forever to arrive, and even the sushi took longer than expected. We had our 8-year-old kids with us, and they were getting restless waiting for food.
Since the portions weren’t very filling, we ordered sizzling vegetables with tofu, and—surprise—it also took ages to come out. While the food itself was great, the wait times were frustrating.
To top it off, they automatically added a 20% gratuity for our party of six (four adults, two kids). The prices were already insanely high—both appetizers and entrees felt way overpriced. We ended up with a $200 bill, which just didn’t feel justified given the service.
Their sushi is good, no doubt, but they really need to step up their service if they’re going to charge those prices and demand a 20% tip. Not sure I’d go back with this kind of experience.
Surprisingly, the Spicy Tuna Cut Roll stole the show — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Philly Roll was solid, nothing groundbreaking, but it did the job. For an appetizer, we tried the Salmon Bomb, which had an interesting concept but ultimately landed as average. As for drinks, the cocktails were vibrant and creative but leaned too sweet for my personal taste.
Overall, it’s a cool spot with a fun menu and energetic vibe, but the food was a mix of hits and misses this time around. Still a place I’d come back to, just with more selective ordering.
Friendly staff tho.
Well the menu is innovative definitely not what I think you would describe as traditional Japanese cuisine.
The presentation is nice and it tastes good however at the end of the night my bowels never agree
We got the RSM roll, which is like a whole platter because it is loaded with so many toppings.
Then we also got the hot cheeto roll and geisha girl roll. Both were big, although not as big as the RSM, and packed with flavor. All the food was 10/10, and the portions were big enough that three rolls made for a pretty large lunch for two people.
Price came out to about $50/person, so definitely not a cheap restaurant, but the quality of the sushi was well worth it. We will be back!
They even had kids menu.
There is a lot of street parking and free parking garages as well.
I have heard a lot of great things about this place and was expecting phenomenal sushi and was served decent sushi. It was not bad but I probably would not go there again. The price of single rolls and just the price of most menu items are by far the priciest amongst other similar restaurants. For the price you pay for the roll, you should be getting melt in your mouth slices of fish. That is not the case at least for my experience. Maybe it was just a bad day and the fresh delivery of fish didn’t come through… I don’t know. Go try it out. The Blonde Bombshell is pretty tasty.
Presentation is dope though along with the service. Every person was customer service driven and friendly. Great location and environment. Super clean restaurant as well.
