So i ordered te 16pc special like I have for years at this point and for the first time they’re was a “1 dollar modification” fee that makes no sense. Assuming it they were talking about add ons or something I say no modification expecting 4 of the same thing. But when I got my order it was one of everything. When I came back to have them remake the order they charged me 2 dollars to remake it. Absolutely ridiculous that they charged me more on remaking the food. What kind of service is that?

Oct 2024:
Was craving sushi and found this spot at the Burlington mall. One sushi chef so took a bit to get meal but overall was fine, not spectacular.

I loved the delicious sushi. It was warm which was nice. Melted like butter. Only complaint, very small! Would have like bigger roll for the same price. I felt like it was tiny!

Too much rice. Rolled not professionally, everything falls apart. I had to scrape out rice so I could feel the fish. I find it very expensive for their quality. Won’t be back, but it was worth trying.

Welcome to Sushi Cafe, the place where sushi dreams go to die. I came in hungry and left emotionally scarred. Let’s start with the ambiance: imagine a dentist’s waiting room with soy sauce stains.
The “chef” (I use that term generously) served me what can only be described as culinary war crimes. The tuna nigiri was warm. Yes—warm. Like it had been sunbathing on the dashboard of a parked car. The rice was somehow both soggy and dry, which I thought was physically impossible until now.
The miso soup tasted like it had given up on life. The California roll fell apart like my will to live after the second bite. One of the pieces had a mysterious crunch that I pray was just a rogue sesame seed.
When I asked the server what kind of fish was in the sashimi, she squinted and said, “That one’s probably salmon?” Probably? Ma’am, I don’t want to play Guess That Species with raw fish.
Oh, and the wasabi? Pretty sure it was just green-dyed drywall paste.
Final verdict: If you love sushi, stay away. If you hate someone, send them here.

Most if not all of the bad reviews of this place have to do with the owner at the cash register who doesn’t speak good English and has a short temper with guests. While I have personally had 0 issues with her, I can understand peoples complaints. If you accept and respect her as a given with ordering then there really isn’t much else to complain about. The sushi is the cheapest you will find in the state for the quality in which they make it. Quality is between super market and restaurant level but for less than super market price. I highly recommend as long as you have the right expectations.

They filled the sushi half with rice!!! I’ve NEVER seen a sushi place cheap out like this! It should be filled with whatever is asked if/ ordered. I won’t be coming back here.
