Me and my boyfriend went to Sushi by Scratch for our one year anniversary and it was amazing! We came for a 9:30pm time slot and ended up being the only two there, which seems to be the case sometimes on weekdays. The chefs made our experience extremely personable and instigated in great conversation throughout the courses. Because we were the only two there, they even asked if we would like them to slow down the speediness of the sushi being served, as to not limit the overall experience. All the sushi was top notch and was by far the best meal I have ever had. They answered any questions we had about the sushi making process and explained exactly how each course was made. My favorite bites by far were the king salmon, the hamachi, and the texas a5 wagyu was to die for. At the end of the meal, we planned to pay with Inkind as we had a coupon, but for some reason the app wasn’t letting us apply it. The host for the night went out of her way to call her manager and figure out the issue to make sure we were able to apply that coupon to the bill. A lifesaver! All in all, an amazing experience and I hope that we will be able to dine here again someday.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The sushi was absolutely amazing, each bite was so delicious and full of flavour. The chefs were extremely friendly. It is expensive but, well worth the price dining here. Would highly recommend travelling to try Sushi by SR.

Sushi by Scratch is a beautiful representation of food artistry by talented chefs. Each chef has spent years crafting and perfecting their technique. There were a total of 16 bites with the option for a sake/alcohol pairing. Every pour was filled to the brim to represent abundance – be careful not to spill! I didn’t think I was going to make it through the 16 bites and the alcohol, but somehow I persevered and even had the tiniest bit of room left to add two more bites when it was offered at the end. The team was very personable and tried to invite conversation within the group.Perfect date night to celebrate an event or just because you deserve amazing sushi.

This was more of a great experience than just a meal. Limited to a few guests at a time for individual attention with, hands down, absolutely the best sushi you’ll ever enjoy. Top notch from beginning to end especially for an anniversary or special occasion. Kind of overkill for children or a casual meal though.
