We love fresh sushi and this spot is excellent! We loved the $100 Omakase! It was delicious, creative and had an amazing variety of fresh fish and wonderful flavor! Leo was our chef and he curated and prepared a phenomenal experience for us that was awesome and fun! Annie was our server she was very attentive. We had so much fun and they were very sweet with their birthday surprises for me! I highly recommend Sushi by M!! We will definitely be back!

Was excited to see that Sushi by M made its way to the Upper East Side as I’ve been to the other location in East Village before. Came here to celebrate my friend’a birthday. Place is spacious, clean and modern looking. The waitress and sushi chef were super attentive and checked up on us from time to time. We opted for the $100 omakase course and added on the Big Mac at the end. Each sushi was fresh and the toppings complimented each piece well. The chef made a special sushi cake for my friend’s birthday. What a surprise!

I really wanted to like this spot, but it was just meh. I felt the service was overly attentive in the sense that they were trying to rush you out. The servers hover with iPads trying to take your order. I also found the atmosphere and lighting offputting. I felt like I was in a waiting room at a dentist or a bank definitely not relaxing vibes. Sushi was ok but nothing notable.

We love Kevin!!! He makes the best of the best!! You can’t beat the service, quality, freshness it’s unbelievable that you can eat Omakase at this value!! You need to run here and try because you will honestly feel the same! Trust me, I am a foodie and this sushi is absolutely amazing!! I will see you here at the bar every Thursday with Kevin! Soo happy to have this place in the ues! Everyone was so nice and every course was SO fresh and delicious. Chef Kevin was the best, he really hooked us up and Christina made us feel so welcome. It’s a big spot and love that they have a private table for 6 in the corner so you can have a more intimate experience with friends and a chef. The pricing is great too. Will def be back!
