We went for the Valentine’s weekend setting and it was hands down one of the best curated dining events I have ever been to. The whole staff was really good with explanations and walking people through each offering. If you’re worried about it being stuffy or too up tight then let that go. Very chill and down to earth. Everyone had a good time chatting with each other and all the staff as the service was done. If you want a special date night (on any evening) I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Sushi bar has a seasonal fish menu that pairs well with the flavors of the world!

This multi-course omakase experience is not for an amateur but is for the lovers of sushi!!! It is set in an intimate 12 guest sushi-bar so it’s quite small and personal.
The chefs walk you through each course as it is carefully prepared in front of you. I’ve dined in a few times at the old location & the new one, every time the sushi is TOP TEIR. I love nigiri pieces and the fresh ginger salad served throughout as well.

A bit pricey but worth every cent.

Came here for the 17-course omakase. It’s $185 per person including gratuity. I felt it was worth it for the quality of sushi. Was a nice and intimate experience. Each piece served was explained by the chef well. Staff were very friendly, making the experience worthwhile.

Great experience omakase. The staff were very friendly and nice to have a conversation with. The fish was excellent, and the rice was perfect. The pairing suggestions made the experience amazing. It’s not cheap, but you are getting your moneys worth with the quality of fish and ingredients used.
The service was just excellent! Kudos to the whole staff!

A truly incredible and high-end experience! From the very start to finish, this was such a special meal that I will remember for a long time. I made an omakase dinner reservation for my birthday, and my group was greeted at the door with a delectable seasonal cocktail – a great start to a wonderful evening. We were then escorted to our private dining area where there was a maximum of 10 seats around the chef area. There were 3 chefs that prepared every meal lovingly in front of us while still chatting with the guests and answering questions. Every bite of the 17-course meal we experienced was unique, fresh, seasonal, and (most importantly) delicious. I was blown away by the care and thought that went into every course. It’s a very expensive experience, but 100% worth it for a truly special evening.

Took my bf here for his bday dinner. Parking was not great, so plan to park a few blocks out and walk. When we came in, it was really dark inside, and the front seemed very unorganized, and everyone kept sporadically asking questions repeatedly. The chefs we had were great, very entertaining, and kept the conversation going. It does get really hot in the rooms, so be prepared for that. They do accommodate most allergies with advanced notice.
The only thing I didn’t like was the 22% gratuity onto your check at the end and then wanting you to tip additionally specifically for the chefs, so honestly, just give them cash. The drink packages are an additional $100 and up, or you can order drinks per glass or just your own bottle of sake, wine, etc. Overall, expect to pay up to $500 or more for two people, 17 courses, and dessert with a welcome drink. We were definitely full. We had the last round of tasting of the night, so it was nice to just speak to the chefs and the bartender after everyone left. They really did a great job and are overall entertaining people.

One of the best dinners I’ve had! It was delightful and the staff was really nice and friendly. The whole experience is about 2 hours long and the chefs were amazing and really open to share details about the food and other fun facts. Every bite literally melts in your mouth. I definitely had a great first omakase experience

The place is very nondescript so you might pass it up. It’s a little white house on the corner. I echo other reviewers with regard to the experience seeming somewhat contrived. Immediately upon entering you are escorted to a very, might I add “very” dark room where we wait with the others for our seating time. They were 10 minutes late seating us which doesn’t seem like a big deal but I’m not impressed with the fact that they request we come 20 minutes early. If you’re going to request us to come that early, I feel we should be seated promptly. The decor/ambiance was sub par. It looked a little tacky.
The sushi was delicious. I get that some reviewers mentioned it was overly “dressed” (too much stuff on the fish). But, I liked it. I’m not a purest when it comes to omakase just as long as it tastes good, and it did.
Our sushi chef was very knowledgeable. Disappointed that they don’t have a full bar so if you’re looking for cocktails instead of sake or beer, you’re out of luck.
The dessert was fabulous. Loved it.
Biggest disappointment was at the end when you pay, the machine makes you select a tip percentage. Remember, we’ve already paid 22% gratuity that’s taxed. So, in front of my guest, I had to select “no tip” which gave the appearance I was stiffing them. ‍♀️

I’ll continue my pursuit for an Omakase place in Austin that’s actually worth the huge bill.

An absolutely amazing experience! We went to the 5 PM seating, where it was five diners. It was my significant other’s birthday and they did a wonderful job making him feel special, along with all of us. It was incredibly engaging, intimate, very informative on the different types of fish they were using, and everything was immaculate. So much of the fish just melted in our mouth. Definitely somewhere I would come again for a special occasion or if I wanted to impress a client!

The inside is very dim and inviting. Good ambiance. I came with a friend and enjoyed their 16 course omakase with 1 extra course of dessert. The staff was very communicative and super friendly. We were all able to talk amongst each other and talk to the chefs as well. I would definitely come again! Highly recommend submitting a reservation weeks in advance! They are a very popular place within the Austin community.
