Favourite little hideaway “mom and pop style” Japanese restaurant in DC. Laid back but food is authentic and super fresh. Recommend most of the menu as I havnt made my way through every item. Always a fav when I come to DC often dining here more than once during my stay.

Apologies for the photo quality! The salmon sushi here was so fresh, and the shiitake roll was so flavorful! They had gluten free soy sauce available which I really appreciated. Everyone who helped us was so kind. I’ll come back here next time I’m in DC!

Cute presentation of sushi in a cozy restaurant. I think we ordered a dragon roll and a combo off the menu along with some chicken katsu curry. Everything was delicious. Service was on point. Would definitely be a regular spot if I lived here.

Super dry and overcooked katsu curry. I ordered the chicken katsu curry and the Philly roll. Chicken katsu was over cooked, super dry, and tough. The curry’s flavor was ok, but it had large chunks of raw carrots that clearly weren’t cooked in the curry as they were all crunchy. Finally for the Philly roll, the avocado was completely black on the peeled side. Flavor was only ok, but clear the avocado sat out. Will not ordering from here again.

Service was fantastic. Food was tasty and generously portioned. Salmon and Tuna Toro were very fresh and were the highlights of our meal.

Discovered this gem and truly had the BEST meal in comparison to anything else I had eaten at other places all week! I decided to go with a Special Box. Miso soup, salad, edamame, 6 pieces of California roll, and a generous portion of chicken teriyaki and veggies… All for around $20! Everything was flavorful and DELICIOUS. And the staff was really kind and sweet.

Kinda makes me wish I was local to DC so I could eat there on the regular. I will certainly come again the next time I am in town!

Good food, good service, good prices and great location. Took off one star because the Miso soup was really salty and the rice should’ve been hotter in one of our dishes.

A cozy restaurant with extremely friendly staff. The food was very aesthetic but also delicious. Also I think they make their lemonade in house because it definitely tasted “real” if that makes sense.

My husband and I left with full bellies and very happy.

Restaurant could use a little TLC as it’s outdated, small, and hard to get around. As with a lot of Asian restaurants, detail to decor a bathrooms fall behind food quality and prep. And they delivered with the food!!

Can’t beat the $20 bento box deal for the amount of food, variety, and quality.
