Great sushi performance, this location is unlike all the other Sushi AI locations where the rice is a more vinegar, warm fermented style sushi which is closer to the style I have seen in Tokyo but might not be to the tastes of most people and will sit harder on the stomach. The location is nicely decorated but harder to have intimate moments in than other Sushi Ai this has a large communal vibe. The service is attentive and quick and if anything might hover a bit much but means well.
The roll selection is vast and good, Sushi AI as a chain is an excellent choice for that fine line between all you can eat and real quality which is very hard to find anymore.

Such a calm and peaceful place to eat. I had the all you can eat sushi and it was definitely worth the price you pay! I suck at taking pictures. Otherwise I would take a great picture showing you how delicious this food looks. 10/10 would recommend for calm, quiet people. I quietly listened to a YouTube and did a little studying as well.

Our visit was just perfect for lunch. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality of food, which was delicious. The staff were incredibly nice and kept quality and service top notch. The time for food was very quick but in good time for freshly prepared dishes. This is a great sushi place and I’d go back anytime. The shrimp tempura was our top pick, but out of every dish we didn’t have any bad.

Of course one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite or relax and chow down for a slow meal. The food is consistent from 1 location to the next. The Chesterfield location does charge extra for the nigiri which I really don’t like. None of the other locations charge extra.
The restaurant is always clean and very good service. This location is not as busy as others so there is rarely wait and food is delivered quickly. This location has the best tempura vegetables – by far!

The food here was pretty good. The value was also pretty good. Nothing was super outstanding but the experience was pleasant. They have a lot of rolls and I want to recommend the Dragon Roll specifically.
I will say that anything that had large amounts of cream cheese should be avoided because it was just a bit overwhelming. I’ve had many “all you can eat” sushi options and this is by far the best of them all. That being said, this is a volume and value over quality- this gives you a huge selection for a reasonable price. Either $20 or $24 depending upon the one that you choose. All in all, for our family of four including one child that just got a children’s noodle, it was over $100 so be aware.
I would recommend.

Got some take out and this was easily the WORST sushi I have ever had. The salmon skin was cold saggy and definitely not fresh, the mackel nigiri was cut in half. It was just little slivers not wider than my ring finger, and the fish wasnt even formed to the rice. I essentially paid for 6 nigiri but reciieved the fish of three nigiri. Out of 6 rolls, only the salmon roll was rolled properly. The rest were not even roll together all the way and fell apart before you could lift a piece out of the tray. Additionally, the rolls didnt seem to be cut all the way. The rolls were largely inedible because of this.
We ended up feeding $60 worth of sushi to the dogs because it literally fell apart while still in the tray.
Any other place in STL has better sushi. Just cause they have the sushi ai brand name does not mean you will the sushi ai experience.
Y’all been warned. Good day.

The place looks okay from the outside, but the inside is a sad mess. It was probably renovated a long time ago. The soup on the menu is truly outstanding. It tasted like cleaning powder mixed with water. The sushi was stale and tasteless. The waiters kept checking my plate every second. Don’t think they were being rude, they were just worried my child might try something from my order. In short, this whole experience really ruined my day.

Sushi Ai in Chesterfield is the best! The sushi is always fresh, and the wait staff are very attentive. Even though it’s no longer the closest Sushi Ai to where we live, we’ll still make the drive because we love it that much!

A few things about this location
I went during dinner time, which is usually when they step up their game a bit from lunch. It was probably the best sushi ai that I have ever had. The rice on the nigiri wasn’t over done, the garnishes were on point, and the taste was amazing. As for the rolls.. also delicious. We had to try at least 8(I know it’s a lot-we can put it down pretty easy.) I have to say the Twin and Mountain roll are a MUST have. As for nigiri definitely get the yellowtail.
The service was good. The waitress tended to us but didn’t over do it. Everyone that came in was sat down quickly. We got our appetizers almost immediately while we waited for our sushi.
One thing that’s not necessarily bad is that it was obvious that it was a Mexican restaurant before it was a sushi restaurant. Which adds or takes away depending on the person. I thought it was pretty funny.
The restaurant over all was clean, no funny smells. Some of the nigiri had a slight fish smell which may turn some people off as sushi isn’t supposed to.
The dinner prices are a lot higher than the lunch prices and I’ve never seen sushi dinner prices that high. $28 for premium- not worth it since there are so many options on regular for $24.
