I could not be more happy. The friendly greeting when we walked in. The food was great, reminded us of our northeast Chinese food. Food prepared quickly and the taste was fabulous. Everything was great. Highly recommend. This was our 2nd night eating there. We will miss it when we head back home to tge Midwest tomorrow. Be sure to give them a try

I wish I could give 10 stars. We hadn’t stepped fully in before get the sweetest greeting and the woman behind the counter was just so genuinely happy which made us happy. The food was just so good. We had the chicken with broccoli and general tso made very spicy. They really did a great job; just delicious.

Frequently enjoy the food and will continue to order. However, a delivery time over 2 hours when our address is less than a mile from the restaurant (was told that the app could not find my address by the driver) is unacceptable. Suggest pick up or alternative delivery service makes more sense.

I ordered takeout brought it home and plated it added a little bit of onions very delicious. They were very friendly and prompt and made sure they got my order correct parking was a little hard but it’s just a walk. No big deal. I would totally recommend grabbing food from this place. We took ours to go however we have elderly dogs.

Visiting from Atlanta, we were looking for a local Chinese restaurant that had pretty good reviews. We ordered sesame chicken, house egg foo young, Mongolian beef, house special fried rice, and chicken w/ vegetables. Let’s start with the PROS. The chicken with vegetables was very good and the sauce on the sesame chicken was tasty. I also adored the friendliness that the cashier had when I entered the restaurant to pick up my order. Now the CONS. The Mongolian beef wasn’t tender and the sesame chicken was very hard and dried out. We ordered the sesame chicken with white meat thinking it would be better than the traditional other option but it wasn’t. The egg foo young was lacking any taste and unfortunately, the rice only had 5 baby shrimp in the entire large container. For $73, I expected a little more.

I moved to Surfside in April of 2025 and Golden Kitchen was one of the first restaurants we tried. I was shocked when I received an actual lobster tail with my order! I have lived in 5 different states and as you can imagine I have ordered from many different Chinese restaurants, but I have to say, Golden Kitchen is my favorite! The portions are great and the egg rolls are huge!
I also wanted to say that I picked up my order one time and the woman at the counter who gave me my food was wonderful. Thank You!

I genuinely don’t understand how a restaurant can operate like this and still have the audacity to answer the phone.
Not only did they send the completely wrong order — like, not-even-close wrong — but when I called to calmly explain the mistake, I was met with pure hostility. The person on the phone was rude from the first sentence. No apology. No accountability. Just attitude. I was talked over, dismissed, and made to feel like I had committed a crime by expecting the food I actually paid for.
But wait — it gets worse.
They also flat-out lied about how far away we were to justify charging a higher delivery fee. I know exactly how far my own address is. We are not in another dimension. Yet somehow, according to them, we were apparently located at the edge of civilization. The distance magically “increased” when it came time to calculate the delivery cost. Convenient.
And then they charged an absolutely insane rate for the delivery fee. Not slightly high. Not mildly overpriced. Unhinged. The kind of number that makes you check your receipt three times to make sure it isn’t a typo. For what? To deliver the wrong food and then be rude about it?
So to recap:
• Sent the wrong order.
• Rude and dismissive on the phone.
• Lied about distance to inflate the delivery fee.
• Charged an outrageous delivery rate.
• Offered zero solution.
If chaos had a customer service department, this would be it. I have never experienced such a combination of incompetence and attitude in my life.

I can’t believe a restaurant would care so little about the food going out the door. I ordered sweet/sour chicken, beef with vegetables and crab Rangoon to go. The crab Rangoon was rubbery and soft and smells of bad oil and seafood. Eggrolls, bad oil, seafood smell, pungent and oil soaked soggy. The beef has sat in a fridge in rice flower for days and days. It is not recognizable as fresh beef. Even the texture is squishy and rubbery. SS chicken smells of old oil and seafood, mostly breading.The fried rice is dyed, and flavorless. I should have slipped $40 under the door after hours, it would have been a better and more honest experience.

This was some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted…
We placed an order via Uber Eats. We were hungry and decided on this place. We weren’t expecting much. We were seriously pleasantly surprised. The wings were cooked to perfection. The Singapore noodles were amazing. We enjoyed the food so much that we drove up to the place the next day just to tell them how awesome the food was. Sweet people, really. We placed another other a couple of nights later.
Good thing we were just visiting the town. I wouldn’t be able to stay out of there. If you’re ever in town or if you live in the town and want some great Chinese food, look no further. You won’t regret it.
