Fun atmosphere and staff, good food all around including seafood and non seafood options… waitresses will encourage shot wars with a rival table which is definitely an added bonus.

Our sub-par visit started with a waitress who was working alone and had no patience for my family’s lack of familiarity with their menu. She also told me the beer special that was shown at the bar wasn’t going on… yet it was posted for the time we were there (6pm – 11pm). Our app was delivered with the meal and cold, as well as the wings I ordered as my meal. My wife liked her BBQ burger and my kids food was on as well, the only positive to the time we had.

We loved our food, but the atmosphere was not as great. The music was a bit too loud to hear and then when the music was turned down other customers at the bar were so loud that we couldn’t even have a conversation. Again, the food was great, but the atmosphere needs adjusting. Perhaps it would work to have the “bad crowd” on one side and people sitting on the other.

I’ve ordered carry out from Surfside a few times but never had table service. The tacos are delicious, especially the chipotle chicken tacos. The staff is friendly but it gets loud in the evenings and seems like it would be tough to hold a conversation.

Crabby Pretzel and Crab Dip appetizers were great as were the Smokehouse and BBQ burgers. Portions for the Nachos and Wedge salad were very large. Service was very good. Only complaint would be that the 32 oz rum buckets were mainly ice. We will come back.

I would give 0 if possible. You know it is bad because even with simply mediocre food and service I would not take the time to write this out.

1. “Overstuffed” Mahi* Tacos – first off, there was no chance this was Mahi Mahi. These were frozen fish sticks sloppily thrown into a very understuffed taco. I eat anything even if it’s just “okay” and I could not even eat these. The fish tasted absolutely horrible. And there was seaweed in it. The fact that it had seaweed was listed on the menu but we weren’t thinking it would be the seaweed you would get in a seaweed salad at a sushi place.

2. The food was pickup. We were charged for everything. They forgot the street corn. My friends had to drive back and get it. During which, the bartender thought that he could make up for the situation by creepily flirting and offering to buy my friend a drink if we came back. Also: the corn was burnt on one side and mushy on the other.

3. Chicken Chipotle nachos – chips soggy, the chicken was hard and crunchy.

It was just very disappointing because the food sounded so amazing on the menu. Overstuffed Mahi Tacos & Chipotle Chicken Nachos. Sounds great, right? Wrong. As you can tell I love food and we were all thoroughly upset. All this stuff individually is not a big deal but one thing after another sucked. Maybe it was an off night for them. Needless to say, not we go to Dewey very often, but we will not be back.

Great pub/bar/restaurant in Dewey. We’ve eat there several times–excellent service and food each time. The scallops entrée, fish tacos, and burgers have been our favorites. There’s plenty of variety to make everyone happy.

Last–this used to be McShea’s Irish Pub–but you wouldn’t recognize it from the previous. Still, a few locals call the new place the McSurf in homage to its long past as a local watering hole. The Surfside is a huge upgrade in menu and ambience–apologies to the previous clientele.

Quiet the unexpected find. Steve, the bar waiter/bartender, had the perfect personality for his profession. The food was perfectly prepared and served.
