Great coffee and Russell has been the Roaster here since his creation of the business was started in 2010. Winter hours seem to very, so give a call or if your in the bay, stop by for a cup of coffee and take some fresh roasted beans home.

I came in with a client of mine (caregiver) and he just wanted a cup of coffee. I asked for an ice water with some lemon flavoring. My client got the smallest size of coffee and the moment he tasted it he was extremely disappointed. Not only was it not fresh (in a very large thermos on the front counter), he stated it was bitter and had aweful flavor. He’s a religious black coffee drinker and he added lots of half and half and sugar because it was so bad! Not only that, it was the smallest size of black coffee for FIVE DOLLARS. I can get a size up from that from Starbucks for that price that’s 150x better. My water was going to be free but since I asked for lemon he said he’d have to charge. No problem. He put maybe 2 teaspoons of flavoring in my tiny water and charged me THREE dollars. For a pump or two of lemon flavoring?!! Everywhere else I go it’s about $0.50 per pump. Sometimes $0.75. Will not be coming here again.
All that being said the counter guy was super sweet.

Came here for a decent drink, was pleasantly surprised with the selection, quality and environmental considerations expressed by this company. Only issue I have with them is the fact that I couldn’t find a front door; I had to enter through the boat tour shop next door.

Great Local coffee shop in Newport! Fresh roasted coffee and excellent customer service. Had a double espresso shot, Hot Chocolate, couple Mochas and a Mexican Mocha. All were amazing. Walked out with a pound of freshly roasted single source fair trade Peruvian Italian Roast. Will come back next time we are in town for sure!!!

Great coffee and great service! We were looking for whole bean decaf and they didn’t have any, but Russell roasted up a batch just for us! It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

Was weakling down the street and was drawn in by the smell of fresh coffee. We got a few different iced coffees/lates and they were all great!

Worst coffee ever! We got a mocha that had absolutely no flavor. I’ve had water with more flavor. We ordered an extra shot to add to the bland americano, and it was like extremely watered down drip coffee. Needless to say, all of our coffees ended up in the trash.

This place sucks. I should have took off when he said they were Cashless, but there are slim pickins’ for espresso on the Bay Front so I ordered a freezer burnt ice-cream and a $5 cappuccino which was burnt and bitter. I did try to get one that wasn’t burnt but he said they “cant redo it”. I asked why, and he said its their policy, and they “have to do what they are told”. It is their “policy” to not fix their mess. Weird business. Its the American way these days to do what you are told and have no personal will whatsoever. Also, there is no “for here” options, get your low quality expensive product and leave.

I’m a Portlander that was out towards Newport and walked by this little shop. I headed in, and the staff were so kind and relaxed, greeting me and not pressuring me to order whatsoever. The coffee I got was some of the best tasting and smoothest I have ever had, so much so that I returned the next day for more and bought their beans. This is a wonderful business that has excellent customer service as well as delicious coffee. Stop in! You won’t regret it!
