I had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
I ordered the “jumbo scallops” for $38.99 and what I was served was an order of 11 tiny scallops that were maybe 1 inch each. That is absolutely not what anyone would consider “jumbo,” and it definitely was not worth the price.
When I spoke to my waitress (who apparently was also the manager) and asked if the item could be removed from my check so I could order something actually worth the quality and price, she refused. She insisted there was “nothing wrong” with the scallops, even though they were clearly falsely advertised and extremely overpriced.
After going back and forth, the best they were willing to do was a $9 discount and remove the gratuity. That does not fix the issue of being served something completely different from what was advertised.
I also noticed that this place doesn’t seem to respond to reviews, so this is more of an informational warning for anyone traveling or looking for a seafood restaurant. Don’t waste your time or money here. If the scallops are falsely advertised and overpriced, I can only imagine what else on the menu is.

Never coming here again!!! First side was the corn, it was very distasteful and chewy. The mashed potatoes and gravy was disgusting. The green beans were not at all seasoned at all. Tastes straight out the can. The oysters were ok but that’s all. The manager stated she couldn’t do anything about me paying 19$ for only oysters. By the way they don’t give you a lot of those. I’m highly disappointed. Don’t eat here unless you like to waste money!!!

It’s Valentine’s day and my wife and I enjoyed our meals at Surf Rider. We were the first to walk through the door during the most planned busiest days of the year. Our server was amazing and she was on it to include the to-go orders i placed for some friends. Food was amazing, hot, and delicious! Thank you Surf Rider for making this Valentine’s day great for me and my wife.

This was our second time dining at this location. The atmosphere itself was a little rundown, and quite honestly reminds me of a dive joint. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu but a little unattended due to the amount of tables she had.
My wife and I ordered drinks and appetizers. Drinks came out nicely presented, and very tasty. The she crab soup was very thick and flavorful. The hot crab dip was rather bland, and the pita rounds were barely warm.
For our entrées I have the crabcake and fried shrimp platter and my wife had the Watermans fried platter. For as well done as my crabcake looked it was still rather cool in the center, and my wife said for the most part all of hers tasted the same.
In my opinion, the cost to food ratio was not balanced.

Went here to kick off my mom’s birthday. Everything was great. While I don’t eat seafood, they have items to fit everyone’s tastes. I love their pasta with chicken. My mom loves the she-crab soup. Their dessert was delicious as well.

Here’s my opinion, I wanted a lump crab cake, salad and fries. My crab cake was very strong not in a good way. The salad was in such a small bowl it was hard to eat. Plus the lettuce had half hard cores. The fries were ok. Husband ordered broiled or baked flounder, it was over cooked. Waiter was good. The waiting area as I walked in smelt like cat pee.
Personally, we will not return again. And I am not one to leave a negative review.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my life, Here is why:
1 The ambiance of the restaurant was quaint and it was also clean.
2. The service was outstanding! My drink didn’t get half way empty before refilling.
3. The food was fresh and delicious— the portions are generous, to say the least.
4. The value for the money is well worth it.

The food and service was really great. The place really needs a facelift though. I had the Tuna Bites for appetizer and the 1/2 pound shrimp for my main course meal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was so juicy and fresh. The Tuna Bites were really great also. The steamed broccoli for a side was awesome. It was just enough to not feel bloated but filling. The waitress was very polite and kind and made sure to keep the beverage refilled. The decor was really out dated and needs some TLC. It is really open and has that cafeteria feeling.

Went for lunch today and had a glass of iced tea which after drinking found it had glass in it when I had a piece in my mouth that I crunched on. Took a sliver out and showed the waitress who was very sweet and apologetic. She showed the manager who never came over or offered any help or checked on me. Had several pieces in my mouth that I tried to remove in napkins which ultimately cause some trauma in my mouth. Very sad that this happened and nothing was done about it. It was definitely not the waitress fault but she was the only one that seemed to care. Would not recommend this location!
