Good ambiance & spacious for private talks, poor service as waitress/server never got back to check up on us. Food seems delicious at first sight but yet needs that special top notch touch! Flavor! Then tortillas seemed a little pinkish… the horchata is delicious for sure! Spacious parking! Clean..stocked bar! Overall a 3!

Las Barca was very nice. The service was top notch and the food was even better. I had the fajitas mixas and the guacamole. The chips and salsa are very good, too. I’m from Texas, we love our Mexican food. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this place.

The servers just take your order and never come back to get refills on water or drinks. We had asked for salsa and never got it. We had to yell and call her to get her to come to our table because we needed a refill on coffee. She never came back and asked if we needed anything else. We had also asked the person who brought out our food for salsa but she never came either. We love coming to this place the food is good. Unfortunately this will be our last time here due to the service with the waitresses. Glenda needs more training on her service.

We’ve never been at this restaurant and we will never go again! This restaurant has the potential to be a real attraction to people. It has plenty of parking and the restaurant itself as a building is really nice and spacious. The most important thing being the food is a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!!!! We ordered our food it looked good but it was NOT. I got the flautas de pollo and the was hardly any chicken in them. They tasted like frozen flautas with nothing but a crunchy tortilla. They had ZERO FLAVOR. Also the rice and beans were like whatever. One of my daughter’s had Enchiladas de pollo, same thing hardly any chicken and super dry. Put it like this we left our plates really full and we looked at each other and just nodded our heads in disapproval. We all told ourselves, this isn’t good at all. We were hungry so we just picked here and there trying to make something out of it. We paid the bill and left saying “yep, never again”

I had a great experience . I’m so glad I found this gem it’s defenetly different that the other la barcas. The seats are spaced out and I it because you can have a conversation and not feel crowded. I loved the ambiance the decor the quietness. It was very intimate.

Absolutely great. To start, there is plenty of parking available. Big parking lot. The building is very nice. The decor is really nice there. Authentic Mexican restaurant. We were greeted and waited approximately 40 minutes to be seated. We were a large group. Everyone ordered different plates and everyone loved the food. I had the “Codornices” and they are FANTASTIC! The plate is very well seemed and the food quality is great. Freshly made, hence they take a little longer bringing that out because they are fried. Highly recommend this place. I will return often here.

The service here was extremely unprofessional, the manager was rude, I was asking to be seated and he refused sit me bcs 2 people from my party hadn’t arrive. I let him know they were no longer coming. He refused to sit us bcs when we originally arrived it was going to be 9 of us. As we were waiting 2 people notified us they were no longer coming & he said I was lying to him that, I let him know I was not lying 2 people were no longer coming. He said if the party wasn’t full he wouldn’t sit us. I again tried to explain to him that the other 2 individuals were no longer coming. He stated it was policy that he couldn’t sit us if the full party wasn’t there, even after explaining to him that they were no longer coming. I then asked to see his policy and when I asked to see his policies he said he didn’t have to show it to me and that if I didn’t like it I was free to leave. Me and my party ended up leaving. The staff was extremely unprofessional, very poor customer service. Staff was extremely rude. Overall, extremely disappointed. I have lived in Downey my whole life and have never been treated in such way. Me and my friends were just trying to enjoy a holiday dinner. Left to el pescador where we were treated amazing !

Place is Very Clean and Elegant Great for DateNight, a Place For You and a your Party, Or for Some Me Time. Had the Malcajete add Shrimp wit the Homemade Tortillas de Maíz . . . Bomb! With the Freshly Made to Order Guacamole . Also Great Aguas Frescas Highly Recommend the Aguas de Tamarindo!
