We had a decent experience at Surf Club Ocean Grill, but a few things held it back from being great. I ordered the catch of the day tacos, which happened to be cobra. The flavor of the fish was actually quite good, but the portion was really disappointing—it only filled about half the tortilla lengthwise, which made the dish feel a bit underwhelming overall.
The drinks were okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. We also tried the wings, which were actually pretty good, with a nice flavor and decent crisp. The cheese curds were just okay—good enough, but lacking the pop you hope for from a shareable appetizer.
The highlight of the experience was the friendly staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind and attentive, which definitely helped improve the overall visit.
In summary, it wasn’t a bad meal, but not something I’d go out of my way to return for. There’s definitely potential, but the food portions and consistency could use some improvement.

Great restaurant! I ordered the seafood platter with seasonal vegetables and rosemary cheddar biscuits. The food was great and I loved the pineapple in the pico that topped it – and I’m a sucker for a cheddar biscuit so that was another favorite for me.
I came during a tropical storm with significant winds and rain – the staff told me that other restaurants had closed due to losing power, so they were having a busier day than normal.
I had come to this restaurant hoping to sit near the window and watch the waves – when I asked to sit next to it, the server told me that they were for larger groups (2 or more people it seemed) – I was happy to still have a view out from where I was sitting. Still, I was pretty disheartened to see so many of the tables remain empty the entire time I ate.

Mommy Hasn’t Showered
This was convenient for us because it was in the bottom of the hotel Wyndham that we were staying in. The first day we came we were sat at the bar immediately the service was friendly and very fast. I got the old Bay wings, which were the crispy wings I’ve had in a very long time. The second day we came we had a bit of a wait even though the bar was pretty much empty. I ordered a bloody Mary, which was decent and we sat at a table by the window to enjoy the beautiful beach of view.

Very nice atmosphere! The food was great! They catered to all of my kids food pickiness(nachos with everything but the meat and cheese on the side) I had the sliders with the grilled pineapple, the pineapple was the best part!and the corn dip was extra cheesy . Everything was great! We’ll definitely come back!!!

Did the Thanksgiving buffet & it was not worth $69 – NO mashed potatoes & NO sweet potatoes??? For Thanksgiving?! Are you kidding me!
The turkey and roast beef were pretty good, but the sides were kind of gross, I mean, who would eat broccoli casserole for Thanksgiving? The bread was hard as a rock & mac & cheese’s noodles were crunchy. Some of the sides just weren’t anything that I see for Thanksgiving, so I just didn’t eat much.
The desserts were OK. The waitress was frenzied & it took forever for us to pay our checks, but we did have a large party so that made sense.
I feel pretty bummed that my Thanksgiving meal was less than par, esp for $69!! I definitely do not recommend this place for food. The view is absolutely beautiful, it’s just too bad that the food was not very good.

Missy G was my bartender/server tonight and it took an hour and 35 minutes for me to get 2 drinks and an order of wings. She asked for my ID, which was totally fine, but when she saw I was not a local, she ignored me and catered to the local guests instead of providing the same service across the board. The drinks were okay but I’m extremely dissatisfied with the service tonight and Missy seemed extremely overwhelmed. The one other server wasn’t even old enough to pour drinks, but kept coming up behind the bar. The wings were fatty and not a good food choice. I will not be back and honestly it wasn’t worth the money to sit there and be ignored. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth for this restaurant/bar/hotel.

Came for lunch and tried the summer menu. I got the jerk chicken sandwich. It was good not dry at all. The rice was great. The burger and Mac are kids menu stuff they said it was good. Overall glad to get away from the downtown prices and crowds
