Visiting a friend in Rumson we picked up dinner at Surf Bar & Grill. It was our third time picking up dinner there. I always get the Shrimp Tacos. My wife and friend got chicken tacos this time. You get two tacos and nothing else. No rice, beans, chips or salsa. Everything has always been delicious. I would like to eat there instead of taking food out. The pricing was a little high for just 2 tacos and no sides along with it.

We went to have a burger there a few weeks ago, they were so delicious that we came back to have lunch there the next day and invited family. Everything tasted yummy again! It was a sunny weekend and we were able to sit outside. What a great place!

Sat at bar. Bartenders friendly but overworked. Kitchen very sloooow. Make sure your pulled pork is warmed up, mine was room temp at best. Ask for side of BBQ sauce if you wish. Big portion of meat and hot fries.

Amazing bbq! Service was great. Excellent selection. Had the brisket sandwich and ended up getting another 1lb of brisket to go. Bbq beans were good but, not what I was expecting. Nephew claims that the corn bread is the best he’s ever had – and he is an expert. Excellent presentation on all items. Restrooms are top notch.

Surf BBQ is one of my favorite spots in the area. Absolutely love it. But today I was very disappointed in the chicken sliders. Chicken on a bun. They kind of forgot the chili honey and the surf slaw. Times are tough during lockdown but they still need to put out a quality product. I’m still a customer but the shine is off.

We have been here several times with friends and it is always a great experience. The food is delicious and the staff are very attentive. Last time we came with a group of 18 to celebrate three birthdays.
They’re known for their start of the month pastrami special which is very tasty. I love their shishito pepper and Brussels sprout appetizers. The margaritas are awesome, my favorites are the grapefruit and hibiscus. I typically order tacos when we go but that’s just me ♀️
