I wanted to order a few times before I left a review. I think I have gotten lunch from surcheros about 4-5 times now through delivery. It is amazing every time! fresh ingredients, flavorful, the amount of food for the price is on point. I can eat the CHARGRILLED SALAD without any dressing because there’s so much flavor and the dressings they have are delicious. My son and I have also had the quesadillas and burrito. All top tier, haven’t been disappointed yet. My new favorite place!

We ordered lunch in person on Friday around 1:30 and was in the Breakroom Canteen by 2:30-2:45 looking for something else to eat. We ordered 3 salad bows, 2 chicken and 1 steak. A joke! My 3 year could have eaten 2 of the taco salads TOGETHER minus the shell based on the small portions! We all had more veggies than meat to the point we all forgot what we ordered! I felt we were given a lot of lettuce because it goes bad fast! Additionally the taco shell was overcooked. We usually order from here from EZcater for business purposes but I can tell you now, they may not see our company name for future orders. Moe’s, Chipotle, and Papa’s Beer would never!!! Good riddance!

I don’t know if this young man will get any recognition but Joseph B Jr was the one who made my food and rung me up. He was a very nice and helpful. We need more people like him.
Only bad thing is I got oily stale chips can even chew them. You can literally see the oil on the chips. other than that great service.

I visited Surcheros today for lunch for the 1st time. Will definitely be back! Friendly service. Fresh delicious food. Fair price. Large portions. Best chips in town! Salsa bar. Highly recommend.

This was my second time here. Walked in right when they opened at 1030. There were dirty tables and floors. I ordered a burrito and as the worker came down the line I pointed out the iceberg lettuce looked old and brown. He pulled out a fresh bag of lettuce to serve me but another worker, maybe the manager, tried to argue with me that there weren’t brown bits. It’s always strange to me when management has this reaction instead of being appreciative at an opportunity to correct quality issues.
I pointed the brown bits out to her. She called over another worker who’d filled the lettuce and had her go through and pick out the brown bits and throw them away then put that old lettuce BACK to serve customers. Just gross. Throw it out. Care more about your quality than saving 50 cents on lettuce.
The worker making my burrito didn’t seem to understand how to smooth out ingredients so he could roll the burrito. The first one he made ripped and fillings were spilling out. He pulled out a new tortilla, then dumped my fillings into that one. It wasn’t grilled or warmed properly. There were fillings oozing out and it was a mess to eat and a shortened weirdly shaped burrito.
The workers seemed disengaged and low morale, leadership was lacking and the food is just meh. Comal 864 makes a much better burrito. Sadly I won’t come back here and I’ll keep searching for authentic Tex-Mex served with great customer service (I wish there was a Cabo Bob’s here).

Food was great the first time was really excited to come back but every time it seems to get worse and worse. The workers have forgotten to put chicken on my girlfriend’s bowls twice in a row now. The serving sizes have gotten smaller and smaller every time too. This last time we went they forgot to put chicken on her bowl and the rice in it was basically raw and very crunch still. Very disappointed as we used to love coming here.

I went for lunch yesterday and while the food was good, there was only 1 employee working the lunch shift. Mind you the line was out the door. I felt so bad for the guy. Whoever owns this restaurant should be ashamed running a business like this. When asked why he was the only one, he said no one wants to work. Do better for your employees Surcheros. If I were that person, that would of been my last day working there.

Have ordered online and in person a few times now. The times we have been inside to order, the food is made correctly but the ingredients do not look fresh on the line. When ordering online, you never know what toppings you’re going to get for your order. Multiple times have they completely missed the protein ordered. Sauces are missed. Chips are inconsistently cooked. The steak is not worth the up charge, it’s very tough. I was hoping that they would improve in time, but they have not.

Food was really good. They followed special instructions. Perfectly. Portions were big enough that I have lunch for tomorrow. I would say my only negative comment would be that the chips were a little bit stale. But not that bad. Definitely ordering again.
