I had high hopes but my experience fell flat. The portion sizes are very small compared to the prices. I got a salad and small side of queso and it was nearly $20 even with no drink. I would think that you’d receive similar around of food to Chipotle but that is not the case. The flavor is good but I cannot justify the price when I could sit down at a nice restaurant for nearly the same price.

Clean establishment. Jaylen made my order and she was awesome! Super friendly. See photo for what I ordered. I asked Jaylen to make it how she would eat just not spicy and it’s good! I will definitely go back. With tip I paid around $40 for two orders to include two medium drinks. You get a load of chips with your meal. There is a little salsa station near the drink too. Cannot wait to return!

The good is that they have a salsa bar with four different solstice. The spicy garlic is really good and is very flavorful. The mild and medium salsa are decent and a tomatillo salsa is very flavorful
Service was very helpful although it’s pretty obvious they were very new at their jobs. I went when it was busy and then I went when it was slow. Both times it took a very long time to actually get your order placed and set up. If there’s a long line, it will take you quite a while to get through it.
The bad: portion size is very small for the meat. I got chicken and it was about 2 ounces of chicken for the entire burrito. And the size of the chicken was incredibly small less than the size of a P. Overall, it needs seasoning both times the check-in was incredibly bland and the burrito itself needs salt and the beans, the rice and the protein
I went one time when the store was just opening and not everything was even ready to serve. I was told that it would take another 20 minutes for everything to be ready to actually do a burrito. This would be at least half an hour after the store actually opened so there is some operational difficulties going on here

UPDATE: I submitted two separate contact follow ups as suggested, by the owner,with their comments, it has been 5 days, but neither came back from Surcheros as a reply, response. ORIGINAL REVIEW STANDS: Ordered online the Veggie burrito bowl with Grilled Vegetables. Received my order to go, I thought it seemed awful light. ONLY GRILLED VEGETABLES! They were nice and added the normal choices. I am just SHOCKED they didn’t check with me before leaving, probably the last visit.

Stopped in for late lunch. Lots of free parking. First time at a Surcheros. Buffet style ordering at the counter. Full Tex-Mex menu. We went with burritos and chips. You pick the wrap/bowl then pick your fillings. Everything was fresh. Mild seasoning. You can add heat at the salsa bar. Chips were a bit salty but not over the top. Staff was efficient but not overly friendly. For a brand new location seating seemed rough but clean. Coke products self-serve in Styrofoam cups.

The food is always great but I ordered a to go order for pickup and 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and having waited for over 30 minutes I had to get in line to get my to go order made. So I would not place a to go order just go get in line. They were also out of chicken…. And sour cream

The only reason it’s not a 1 star review is because the nice guy that wears a beanie is the only employee who seems to care about his job and know how to do it. My boyfriend and I live near and loved coming here for dinner but the service & cleanliness or lack there of has turned us away unfortunately.

We came in a little after 11am on a Saturday. There appeared to be 2 employees still setting up for the day. Neither addressed us or the others waiting in line. Then, the woman approached and asked for one person’s order at a time. She took her time assembling each order, asking only cursory questions, if necessary. For example, when we moved to the additional toppings, she just stopped and looked up at me. The man continued shuffling in and out of the “back,” not even acknowledging the meal delivery people also starting to stack up.
The food was good, but clearly we came in when the employees were not happy, someone hadn’t come in, or maybe they were hungover, who knows. Whatever was going on, they let it affect their customer service.
The atmosphere is very plain. I suppose it is “modern,” but just so very plain.

I went right after opening and I was disappointed to see that tables were not cleaned. The trash cans were full and dirty on the top. The food is delicious and I recommend the carnitas bowl or taco salad. The quality of the queso is inconsistent because there are times when it’s almost watery. My main isssue is the lack of cleanliness. Employees were friendly
